  1. One of my favourite Bronze Age and Neal Adams books. Presents more like a strong 9.4
  2. So you can imagine how pleased I am to own a copy of this.
  3. This is the grail book for Richard Corben collectors.
  4. I've got the Black Knight volume, of course. Superb. (thumbs u
  5. I wasn't sure about that one, but I'd spent quite enough time on the puzzle and Fear 9 looked closest. Thanks for the info and the page from the 50s comic. I collect the Atlas Era Marvel Masterworks and Joe Maneely is one of the best artists in these books.
  6. I've not seen those for a while. Secrets of the Unknown was published by a UK company called Alan Class Comics, which specialised in b/w reprints of American comics. I remember having the Captain Atom issue as a kid back in the 70s.
  7. All right, Wise Guy... what's the deal? Either you are the Ultimate Comic-Book Geek or you're a member of the UK MI5 Code-Breaking Image Reconstruction Team. In any event, you score again! The image suggests jungle background and tiger stripes, but it's not going to be as easy as being from an actual tiger, which rules out Ka-Zar as an immediate go-to. Then, the most obvious contenders are other picture frame jungle comics, and so I'm directed straight to Shanna 1. To begin with, completely in the dark, for all I knew it could have been an out-of-place section from a super-hero cover.
  8. Just realised something. I can't access the boards at 9am GMT, when the next puzzle is due to be posted. Tend to be locked out 9 am to 10.30 am That's odd. Well not to fear, I doubt anyone will get this next one straightaway. I was a bit concerned that other boardies might have the same problem and a different start time would be better, but we've got that anyway. (thumbs u

  10. That's a great idea because, as you know already, I'll inevitably miss some through being on British GMT. The last one had been posted a while before I got to it. Maybe just lucky this time that the process I used led me to the right answer quickly.
  11. No, I just love figuring out these puzzles. I'm absolutely fascinated by them. I'm not always on this sort of form, so hopefully I can continue participating?
  12. It does look more like Sal Buscema to me, particularly the faces. Nice cover.
