  1. (worship) (worship) This one underthebigw has for sale. That I will never own .
  2. I was going to...but that is one book I always talk about being a X-Men, Iron Fist, and Test Variant junky wanting a nice copy. My thought is that it heated up due to Sabretooth not being dead and Iron Fist becoming more popular in the Marvel Universe. This is a key book to collect if you are into Iron Fist or X-Men. I also think people who collect John Byrne or Chris Claremont books would want this also.
  3. Out of curiosity how can you find out which ones are which? The box details or someone working in that department can tell you what kind of image sensor.
  4. Here is a slab scanned at 200 dpi and the image not corrected through any photo software. Here it is the same scan corrected with a photo software and it makes the label look bad when I use it.
  5. I own one and it is not the best to use on some slabs. Some of the scans can look really dark and some can look a bit fuzzy. I will scan a slab when I get home so you can see and post it here. Great for raw books if you need it for that too. If the store has models that you can test on then bring a slab to see the quality.
  6. I am thinking the same thing but what about Flintstones and Scooby Doo. Heck, my grandparents and many other people older people liked watching the Flintstones and my aunts & uncles still like Scooby Doo. In the area I live, I find the #1 regular copies in back issue boxes and on Craig’s List. Therefore, those two books should not be that hard to find as they are.
  7. I think you are correct. That he is mixed up with the 30's? Michigan, Maryland, Texas, California, New Mexico, and Massachusetts had 30c books. So my thought on Pennsylvania might still be a better choice. There has to be a collector or a deal in that area who can answer this.
  8. I keep thinkng Pennsylvania because of Ohio is the next state like with Alabama,Tennessee, and then North Carolina. Is it Texas or New Mexico maybe?
  9. How is that the big one?? CGC census 12/10: 38 in 9.2, 28 higher. This is on ComicLink January Focused Auction: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #14 Read more carefully, I said "a" big one not "the" big one. And it is bigger than anyone posted so far. The one on CL is a big one as well. Didn't mean nothing by it . Just didn't get what made it differnt from other ASM 14's listed on the internet.

  11. I think they already did that one.. I guess they did .
  12. Please, you're making my stomach ache wondering about my book now. CGC can't grade these books fast enough now. I got my grades, and it definitely wasn't these books O'Barr may have damaged. Did you call them to get your grades and what did you get on each book? Anyone else who have got there Crows graded back or called let us know on here.
  13. Give it a week for my CP 1 to come back and I just may have a gorgeous CGC SS 9.4 for sale. Anonther one! You have to give Copper lovers a pass on this book. It is like a fever. God knows how many Bosco has gotten done. I have subbed two 9.4 Blues, a 9.2 Yellow and a 9.6 Blue that is now a 9.6 Yellow. I look at them all the time at shows to see if I can track down a raw 9.8. You should of found me because Roy want us to meet. My copy looked 9.6 or better to me. I had Matt from Classic Incorp. look at it because I always thought it was restored because how perfect black it was. He told me it wasn't and the nicest copy he has ever seen. To bad he can't press a book that is SS and it not turn to a PLOD. I would of sold it for what I paid because I can't guess a dealer price for a book that did look like that. Any book I sell out of my collection when I need bill/debt money all are list on some auction site because I sell at a loss either way. Would of been a good peace offering any ways if I knew you need it. I think you can still have an SS book pressed. As long as the company has a CAW-type contract with CGC and the proper paperwork is filled out. You can PM Matt to find out for sure. I asked Matt a year ago on a book that I sent to get SS and got impact corner damge by either the post office, person I sent it to, or buy CGC . Well he can't do it. I asked a person who worked for CGC about this also and the person who would be doing the pressing would need to be a SS witness or have one to witness the process. Well, I don't care about the grade it gets, it will match my other books that have gone wrong AFTER I get them back. Most of my books I find out are Restored with minor color touch are from when I went to cons as a kid in NJ before CGC was around. I'm glad some one elses will get a 9.8 only; if I owned the other 9.8 or even got a unlikly 9.9 then my "Charlie Brown" powers would of kicked in and the bottom would drop out on that book. So it had to happen so the comic universe has balance. Maybe it will get lost in the mail and CGC will pay what I valued it as. Also I joke about my stress now a days in stead of being mad. I have nothing against Mr. O'Barr. I just wonder why he did what he did. I will never know till I ask him myself next year. So James went for one my favorite heroes to one of my favorite antiheros . His books are still kick@$$ to me.

  15. Now let's hope you get great news as well, Keldog. It will be because I will hype it up as the rare "O'Barr manhandled variant". I will sell it on the "variant forum". There are very few of these. How you know it is from the thumb & pointer fingerprint that breaks the smooth black ink in the front & back cover's corner which add to something more rare; his DNA in the ink. This was done by KISS in the 1970's for Marvel but this has never been done for a Underground/Independent book ever. I'm trying to get CGC to have this and impact to the bottom of the book, dents/dings, and color breaks/ bends in the Grading Notes as part of the "variant" issue's look . I had it witnessed by the SS witness on all of this being authentic from James himself. I hope it all pulls through so I have the only 9.9 or 10 (gift grade) of this variant on the CGC Census that it also graffitied signed by him . I will hold it till the new movie is out and then list it on EBAY or Heritage Auction Galleries . I'm think it will beat the price that the Green Lantern/Green Arrow #76 9.8 will sell for.
  16. I liked the show & the movie but the writers must of never read the books and you get that by the title.
  17. They will not get to Chicago con books till the end of this month. I can't wait to see my grade . I should of let him eat his peant butter and jelly sandwich on it and clean his art supplies with it . I can add it with other failed HG prized books that got damaged, I will call it the Charlie Brown Pedigree collection . When you own a book you prize so much for most of you life till some Murphy's Law thing happens to kill the value, looks, or quality you saw in it that gets lost some how but . I have to laugh at my life and everyone else should too . James O'Barr is my new comic antihero next to Spider Jerusalem, Johnny "Nny" C., Conan. and Namor. They just are who they are (thumbs u .
  18. I needed to go the CGC site first and not just look on this sites Marvel 35-cent Registry after I find something new in OSPG I never heard of. I also need more sleep and to do less time working and typing on this site between working . Anyone know how much one of these would go for or if one ever showed up for sale? I see only 2 ever graded so that this book should of been listed as the rarest 35-cent next to Flitstones #1 and Scooby Doo #1 in McClure's article.
  19. Now it needs to be on the Registry and the cycle is complete. Then I will know who to try and get one from.
