  1. Haha- honestly I didnt notice at first either until I had to take them out again to re-arrange some boxes. I have a small amount of OCD and things like this drive me insane if I think something is wrong.
  2. Ahhh got it. This makes total sense. I have an issue with foil trading cards warping due to the dry air. Unfortunately my place of dwelling is dry most of the year but can trap humidity in the summer if AC isn't on 24/7. I haven't been able to solve this.
  3. That one book def had some damage. I guess I showed it more so to say the waves were even more pronounced when in the Mylar. Is there any way to combat the static if that is the case? Or is it basically a non-issue. To eliminate the air pockets I have found stacking the books seems to help a bit.
  4. Sorry for the late follow up, wasn't sure when the post would be approved so I got wrapped up in other stuff. Thanks for the welcome! To clarify: yes my books lay flat when they are out of the bag. I included some oddities in the pics tho just for larger sample size Agents of Atlas is slightly wavy out of the bag, but even more pronounced when inside Luna Snow has the very slightest spine roll forming, but when in the mylar it has that weird wave pattern. The Brightest Day and Marvel Boy are completely flat out of the bag as most of my comics are- but when inside they seem to get wavy or the middle of the comic seems to stick out (if you look at the middle of the Marvel Boy cover this is what I mean if it makes sense). But if the rise is what is supposed to happen then maybe I won't worry lol. I thought it was static or something- I had one batch where the mylites were all oddly tight, but I've bagged more than that batch. I notice modern marvels with the crappy paper seems more susceptible to this than older comics with thicker cover stock.
  5. Hi all, long time lurker first time poster. I've finally taken the jump to bag and board a majority of my collection in Mylite 2's and Full Backs. I've started this process and noticed there are a good number of my books that have wavy covers on the top -or it seems there is too much air and the cover poofs in the middle of the book. Basically not laying flat. I am not sure what I am doing wrong so I'm wondering if you experts have any advice. I'll say this batch of fullbacks from Gerber has a lot of QC issues such as miscut/unven cut and/or too short boards and flaking but I dont think that's totally the issue. Below are some pics of random comics I was messing with. Thanks for any advice! This one is just generally wavy This comic kind of has the cover poof in the middle instead of lying flat General wave and no part of this cover lays flat Just another pic of the cover not being flat to the comic. Sorry for the long-ish post. Thanks again!
