  1. Are you selling them because they are 9.6? Are you disappointed they are not 9.8? I seem to see that many here get upset with 9.6's, not sure why but then I am new here.

upset with 9.6s?!! Geez - i wish i could get one every once in a while...

  2. i just wanted to know where everybody else stood is all. i was hoping that i was the one on the hook for the most

So let me get this straight, kiddy-scammer Cap Freak has not come through on a $200+ deal with you, yet he pops into YOUR thread and tries to buy one of your books?

Does this seem insane to anyone else?

:screwy: exactly how old are we talking here? teenager? younger?

Personally, I've avoided his threads ever since that incident with Muscleshark. Sounded like a real to me, the way he responded to a customer after he sent them the wrong book. I never understood why some were backing him on that.

That takes some serious Ballz to try and purchase something from someone you are actively ripping off. :censored: After being on the probation list now 3 times AND now an official member of the Hall of shame(only 4th ever) - shouldn't this dude be banned from posting period? I've seen members banned for much less than scamming cash out of fellow boardies wallets...

  3. Bob, I understand your mindset on this matter. Sometimes I find it a little disruptive just reading a sales thread with all the additional chatter.

However, if you ever experienced posting a sales thread with absolutely no responses, no 'nice book', 'wish I could afford it', nothing, I believe this hurts more.

Regarding inquiries on my registry, I am honestly flattered. You have great books, people want your books, say 'thanks but no' and enjoy it !!!!

totally agree - i would much rather have some chatter and questions on my sales threads than crickets chirping...

not too mention the free bumps!

  4. I think it's time for Capfreak to be added to the list.Refuses to acknowledge PM's while running 2 seperate sales threads and also a message I sent 2 days ago has also been ignored even though he is still posting.Paid for some books on 4/20 and still nothing. :sumo:

Took a chance on a young buck and got kicked in my teeth for it.

Maybe he hasn't received his allowance yet?

    lol

  5. Welcome to my Turtle Room! I dont have everything on display, just dont have the room. That said, I do have a fair amount of interesting stuff out for viewing. Ive essentially converted a small spare bedroom, but even though its a whole room, its still way too small to put everything out in. Anyways, thanks for checking it out!

First up, I cant show you my room without showing whats been hanging outside of my room ever since 89. This hanger has been on my doors everywhere Ive lived, from Oklahoma to Miami and even up to college. Its a bit tattered but still hangs (with a bit of help!)

Walking into the room to the left you see this rather plain looking closet.

    closet-1.jpg

Inside, however, houses my comic collection.

Ok, theres a lot going on in here.

On the left is my comic rack, which has my CGC collection in front. Almost all of my books are 9.8. (I had just bumped the rack before the photo and forgot to line everything up again so some books look a little skewed)

Behind the rack, I have most of my loose comic collection. There are about 400 books on there.

To the right on the table, I have an assortment of Mirage related items and books.

You can see the rare T-shirt from 86 along with 85 pin set. Theres the bronze version of the statue along with a few of my dark horse figures in package, including the first release version in stapled bag. And my Silver and White Turtlemanias.

And jumping past a few loose books/mags, we can see my Challenges soft and ultra rare hard cover books

    bothchallenges-1.jpg

Along the back wall, I have every one of the collected books/graphic novels that have ever been produced.

Above them, I have the limited edition Mirage print

You may have noticed, my wallpaper on the back. In keeping with being an original art nut, ALL of that is original artwork from Frank Fosco, artist from Image Comics who drew volume 3 of the comics from '96-'99. All of its the real deal, and they are roughs and sketches from various books in the series. Theres cover work, panels, everything. Some in pen, pencils, markers. I have so much of this awesome stuff I needed a neat way to show it off. I thought a collage of sorts would work and I think I accomplished what I was looking for (and no, thats not all of it!)

Ok, I just brought up original art. Lets leave the closet and see what else is going on.

On the wall opposite the closet, I have framed my 8 page story from 86s Mudens Bar. An incredible collection of early pages, so I HAD to frame them together. (to see each page closer up, check my CAF)

    completestory.jpg

Next to the closet, I have my Peter Laird 84 donatello sketch (my earliest TMNT artwork)

    lairdsketch.jpg

and my Gobbledygook #2 page (my earlist page period).

    gobbeldgook.jpg

To see these closer up check my CAF below.

Next to those, I have my pages from issues 1985s 3, 4, and 5 (framed with the First publishing colored page by Steve Lavigne). These pages are classic Eastman & Laird, and feature all of their pencils/inks.

And I think Ill stop here as most of the room is made up of toys and I don't think theres much interest for that here. As a sneak peek though, Ill show you The Wall, which is my solution to having too many vehicles in boxes to store. Also, proved to be an innovative way to separate the spaces. (and No, the windows are not ususally open; only when I'm in there.

  6. is anyone bidding on the FF1s on Comiclink? there appears to be some great deals right now. There is only 3 hours left and the 6.5 is only 6,800!! The 6.0 is at 5,300 and the 5.0 is only 3130!!! :o Who knows whats going to happen at the end of the auction, but This might be the time to buy for those that are looking!! Might be able to get them under GPA...

I bid on the trimmed 5.0, but it left me in the dust. It's a sharp copy and the trimming is minor.....wouldn't have minded getting it.GOD BLESS...

-jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u

P.S. That 9.4 FF 6 is a REAL toughie in that grade....someone will be lucky to get it....whatever it sells for.

    :gossip:

I still have my 5.0 NOT trimmed for sale
