  1. I can remember one of the main LCSs in town during the early to mid 90s bubble used to put hot new books in bags and boards at $10 - $20 on the day of release. File customers paid cover less the discount, but everyone else paid the inflated price. I wonder how many LCSs that are sold out on day one have copies up on eBay? I know of one store locally that used to do that under the previous owner.
  2. Looks like Batman #89 is getting the Teen Titans #12 treatment by the market. Talking to my file LCS owner last night, it sounds like even DC was surprised by the demand for the book. 1st appearance = $$$$ the first week in today's market.
  3. First Class and DoFP were both great as far as this X-Men fanboy is concerned.
  4. I am curious to see where this ends up in the February Clink auction: https://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FALLSUB.ASP%3FFocused%3D1%26id%3D1398%26pg%3D2%23Item_1374421&id=1374421&itemType=1
  5. Mortal Kombat was amazing when it came out. I had a buddy on the university track team nearly hurt himself by doing a face plant trying to imitate the Liu Kang wall flip/kick move. It would be great if Sonic can top it. The more successful video game movies we have the better.
  6. They may want to consult a medical professional regarding the location of the heart and where the symbol is covering. Looks more like bronchial tubes/lungs to me unless his heart is moved more central.............
  7. Umm....I guess my attempt at a humorous rebuttal failed?
  8. Actually, they screwed up with Gal Gadot as well. She is only 5'10", not 6' tall.........not that anyone is complaining though, as it is Gal Gadot.
  9. They were, but times change. That being said, let's see whether the UF 4 variant sale is the new norm or an outlier.
  10. I thought the first Fox movie was okay, and the second one was popcorn flick filler. It is probably best for the franchise that the most recent one was so bad that hardly anyone saw it. Now they can relaunch it in the MCU and hope that the franchise catches on.
  11. Don't worry about it. FF 1 has always been overrated. If you have AF 15 then you have the SA Marvel book that truly matters.
  12. You should have picked them up two years ago..........but better late than never.
  13. According to who? The vast majority of movie goers have never read a FF comic and will not have any idea re: who is supposed to taller. Just cast the best actor for the role and if they are 7' tall so be it.
  14. Check with Marc at Saddle City Comics. He may be doing it again this year.
  15. I bailed on watching regularly after the boys and Rollo avenged Ragnar's death. Once the show went away from historical accounts I lost interest in it. Is it worth trying to watch from that point on?
  16. First day of filming a pivotal Riddler scence:
  17. This movie will do well along the lines of Suicide Squad. That is the target audience, not us middle aged comic nerds, unfortunately.
  18. I think the best approach would be that of a fallen hero - humble beginnings, threat to his people so he is imbued with power, saves them at great cost, and is haunted by the price he has to pay so becomes an anti-hero/villain. Just like wrestling - start small, become big star/good guy, fall and become heel, then redemption and the cycle plays all over. They need to have him be a sympathetic anti-hero/villain, and the Rock knows how to play that role.
