I see no issue with their approach. The play here is to generate content for their streaming service to 1) attract subscribers and more importantly 2) retain them long term. While I still enjoy going to the theatre, my kids (18 and 19) consume media via streaming services and rarely go to the theatre.

Overall, this season was a nice step forward from Season 1. I hope that Season 3 gets the greenlight as we will see the Flood become the big issue, and humanity's last stand against the Covenant. Season 4 would likely be everything left (including some Forerunners) vs the Flood.

Interesting to see HR 2 jumping on Key Collector. That is the 1st Rwoh cameo/appearance. I would love to see it become recognized as the 1st app to have as I did a much bigger bulk on issue #2 than issue #5.........

The Trailer looked interesting. I am looking forward to the show and more info about which HR Jedi that have been introduced are a part of it.

The one thing I have always thought childish and simplistic was how the fall of the Jedi was portrayed in the prequel. Hopefully the Acolyte takes a more complex approach, as it would be in reality.

It is an interesting approach to launching the HR era. Rather than start by introducing the Jedi at their peak, they are going to focus more on the Sith. I would have preferred to have them follow the novels/comics instead, but this is likely the safer play since it ties in with established general knowledge of the SW universe. Regardless, I hope it is a hit and they announce a movie trilogy shortly.

Episode 7 was great. It looks like they will end the season with an epic space battle in episode 8. I hope it gets renewed for Season 3 and that they keep the current show runners for it.

Went with @Artboy99 to the movie on Friday. While it was a very good film, I liked the pacing and flow of the first film better. This one seemed a bit disjointed at times. My only disappointment is that it ended at the point that it did. I am not sure how they are going to cram the next book into one film.

Episode 6 picks the action and unveils more of the politics of ONI. I am really enjoying the darker tone of Season 2 so far. It is much better than Season 1 was IMHO. I look forward to the actual space battle scenes at some point. Based on what I have read online, Master Chief will need to retrieve Cortana at some point.

They should drop a season in the spring and a season in the fall. And get moving on Wheel of Time as well.

When does Season 2 drop?

Episode 5 was slower paced and sort of a mid season resetting of the table. I am curious to see how they play the rest of the season out relative to the storyline from the games I have read online. For some reason they appear to be straying from the main element that ties everything together = Master Chief. Keep the focus on him and all will be well.

Apparently it is a good to great read depending on who you talk to. I have not read it. Too busy selling it.
