I would expect that none of us posting here pay cover price? Those prices are much higher than the last time I looked in early 2023. At the time it was $20-$25 per set, which is basically file level discount to full retail. As I have posted before, if you are buying bulk talk to your file store about a bigger discount. If they can't do better than a file level discount shop around for a store that will.

Wow. I used to own a bunch of McFarlane DC pages and a couple of covers. One of the old school LCSs locally closed in the early 2000s and were selling off their backstock and OA for dirt cheap. I paid $10 per page and $40 for the covers. I promptly flipped them on eBay for a quick big win. I should have held onto a couple of the nicer ones.........

Things have gotten mighty quiet here. I take it there are no really hot new releases this week? I will admit that pricing out sets to take to the Calgary Expo I was surprised to see how high the Spider-Gwen Gwenverse #1-5 Land B cover set is going for, as well as the Batman Beyond Neo-Year #1-6. With Dunbar and Lanzing at the show I hope to be able to sell a bunch of the BBNY sets at the show to avoid eBay fees and time for packing to ship.

That is the hope with all of these Edge of Spiders/Gwens/Venoms type minis. I will admit I did 10 each of Death of Venomverse, but that was to chase the 1:10 Dell'Otto set.

Looking at the spine and back cover, I would be happy with a 6.5. It looks worse to me.

Issue #2 is the 1st appearance of Kid Venom, who/which is getting a solo series that hits the stands in April. There are other "1st appearances", but it is unlikely that any of them stick.

Check out Halo while you are at it. Season 2 was a lot of fun.

It is more Kennedy wanting to build out the franchise I think. Look at what they invested into the multimedia approach for the High Republic. I expect them to do more of the history as it is wide open IP space for them.

If you like Neal Adams artwork, I would say go Bronze Age and nab 9.4 WP copies of Batman 227, 232, 234 and 251, plus Tec 395, 400, 405, and 411 instead. They have held their value well and some are above 2021/22 peak prices now.

It will be interesting to see whether there is any buzz for this film up on release. The casting was before the announcement today as it was. The MCU has lost its way post Endgame and does not seem to know how to find it again.

Can we expect X-23 instead of Wolverine in light of the FF casting for Silver Surfer?

Marvels SA and BA keys were hit harder as they popped higher than DCs. I wish the Neal Adams Bats and Tecs dropped further so I can accumulate more for cheap, but they have held up well for the most part with GPA low prices creeping up YOY from 2019 on the big books.

Where did that scan come from? It looks like they have definitely altered the settings to make the book appear whiter than it actually is.

Season 1 is not terrible, but Season 2 is much better. The Fall of Reach is not the entire season, just building up to and showing during the first half of it. They move forward in the second half building towards introducing the Flood.

What are the terms of the deal with Marvel for the Spider-Man properties. My guess is that is driving some of these decisions as well. Use the characters or lose them.
