  1. That bit of casting could be fun! Who are you? Bond.....James...er....Sinister.....Mister Sinister.........
  2. I am seeing fatigue on Image back issues across the board. Even WD and Saga are basically dead outside of the harder to find #1 and other key or early issues. The only Image title that has decent demand across the run (i.e. not just #1 or the odd key) is Spawn, which is interesting as I have seen this trend building for the past three years now with no real reason why. I think Image (and to a lesser extent other Indie publishers) jumped the shark in 2013 with too many bad new titles being released to capitalize on mass speculation and that trend has continued. As a result, there is little to no demand for their books. I actually cringe when I see any Image titles in collections I buy now. The movie bubble burst will hurt the hot modern market, but SA and GA books will be relatively stable. They may pull back a smidge or plateau for a bit, but I am seeing more demand for keys as "investment collectibles" now which bodes well for them in the future. Hot TV/movie driven moderns are a different market and I can see that area taking a steep drop, just like we are seeing with any number of those books now as the hype dies down (6th Gun anyone?). Being totally honest, DC and Marvel need to publish just to keep copyright/control of their IP for movies and TV going forward. I guess comics are an okay way to test concepts as well for now, but in the future when it is all digital that will not matter.
  3. Go high grade or go home. You should have snagged the 5.5 I had at Edmonton a couple of weeks ago before it sold.
  4. Wow. The Variety review was harsh. My favorite lines: Do not spend any of your limited time on this planet watching this show. If you have a superpower, use it to race away from “Inhumans” faster than the speed of light. Even for those of us who review TV programs for a living, it’s difficult to capture the breadth, depth and scope of “Inhumans’” awfulness (which had to have been terrible on a larger scale when the pilot was released in IMAX theatres weeks ago).
  5. Agreed. Edge of Tomorrow sounds better than Live Die Repeat and Repeat.
  6. Now that the summer convention season is winding down it is time to raise funds to go shopping. I will be posting a number of Copper and Modern slabs here over the few days. As usual, trumps PMs I have not responded to. Shipping Policy: Shipping for slabbed comics starts at $20 in a small box with tracking and insurance in Canada and the continental USA. Overseas shipping will be charged at the postal rate. Note: Assume that all slabbed books have been pressed. Some I have done myself, others that I bought slabbed are likely pressed as well. Return Policy: No return on slabbed books.
