  1. I will have to post a list of what I have left. I was cleaned out a bit at the Edmonton Expo this past weekend.
  2. Most of the top paying buyers for me are Americans.........
  3. Agreed, but I sense Image fatigue right now. Most of the books are drek which turns people off of trying other properties. At shows the only books that people as for are WD and Saga, with the odd Monstress 1 or Seven to Eternity 1 request. Talking with a couple of LCS owners, the only new Image titles they order are ones that their file customers want plus maybe one for the shelf. They are sitting on too many dead overstock copies from the 2012 - 2014 Image hype peak to keep chasing the latest and greatest new Image offering. I expect more to follow suit over time.
  4. Ugh. Not a fan of the suit. If this were the Flash the Marvel fanboys would be out complaining about it.
  5. In addition to taking a "do what I say, not what I do" approach on variant front, maybe Image needs to look at sales numbers and think about trimming down the number of books they publish significantly. For every hit, there are several duds. Add in the fact that most Image books are mini-series, it is tough to build up reader/collector demand for them. They publish a lot of drek now.
  6. Nice 1.0 copy! I wonder where the brittleness was - one of the corners? Entire pages?

  8. Now that things are starting to slow down with shows it is time to do some selling to facilitate end of year buying. I will be posting a bunch of slabbed and raw books here over the next few weeks. As usual, trumps PMs I have not responded to. Shipping Policy: Shipping for slabbed comics starts at $20 in a small box with tracking and insurance in Canada and the continental USA. Shipping for raw books starts at $6 for a bubble padded mailer or $10 for a small cardboard mailer in Canada and the continental USA. Overseas shipping will be charged at the postal rate. Note: Assume that all slabbed books have been pressed. Some I have done myself, others that I bought slabbed are likely pressed as well. Return Policy: Within 14 days of receipt for raw books. No return on slabbed books.
  9. The show ended up okay overall. If one regular had picked up the book he asked me to set aside for next month at the show I would have come close to hitting last year's total. My $2 boxes were raided by other dealers on Saturday and Sunday morning, which was great. I have accumulated way too much stuff over the past few years, including Harley Quinn and Deadpool, from speculating on moderns and in collection purchases that needs to go. The Star Wars common AF variants were dead, though, which is interesting as I thought they would be scooped up in the $2 boxes with a movie coming up. I guess those are $1 bin fodder now? Sales on big books were definitely down this year compared to last year for me. Granted, I did not bring too many to the show - I was focusing on blowing out the newer cheap stuff that takes up more space. My biggest single sales were three books at $500 apiece. That was it. The rest were sales in the $100 - $300 per book range. The past two shows I have seen a huge uptick in demand for Adam Hughes covers. I am out of everything bigger now (e.g. JSA Classified 1, WW 184, Catwoman 51/70/74), as well as all of the Zatanna multiples I had. Two weeks ago at the Red&White show I had a huge frenzy and it carried over to this one as well. I am curious to see if this trend continues or whether it is just a 6 - 12 month speculative bubble. I think the most entertainment this show was watching thehumantorch absolutely lowball a seller on his ASM 252s (3 CDN newsstand variants)/high grade ASM 300/Batman Killing Joke (1st print) and then have the guy accept it. I am still shaking my head that he would not have shopped around further for a much better offer. That being said, I think the ASM 300 the Sask boardie snagged has a shot at a CGC 9.6 so he was likley the big winner in the end - if it hits that he will be close to 3x on the price he paid for it. My only purchase of the show was a 2.5/3.0 ASM #129 from a regular buyer. It was his undercopy and I normally would have passed, but I am curious to test it out to see how the main damage (someone put a sheet of paper over it in the past and traced the cover so there are pencil indents all over the place) will press out as a future reference. There is a nasty store stamp and felt pen "10" at the top of the front cover as well so it likely will not grade any higher.
  10. So.......how fast will the FF #45 balloon drop now?
