That was a very professional and earnest response. That's the type of seller we need here. Someone who stands behind their books and their shipping without hesitation. Well done.
Also agree that a $100 book deserves a box. I use bags unlimited's comic mailer boxes. They allow for up to 8 books, cardboard and bubble wrap inside the box AND it fits completely inside a USPS flat rate priority padded envelope which costs $6 to ship.
That gives you boxed shipping for envelope pricing.
I knew I liked you for some reason.
Those are awesome mailer boxes.

I didn't realize they'd fit in a flat rate envelope. Do you use the standard or legal size?
With the legal size, I can sandwich a book between eight pieces of oversized corrugated cardboard (the book is bagged/boarded, rebagged with a sacrificial bag which is then taped to a board using painters tape for easy removal), wrap it in a water-proof bag and still have plenty of room. It's basically like shipping a cardboard brick with the rigidity of hard-cover book inside an envelope.
But for shipping multiple books, that mailer box would be the way to go. Great idea.
That mailer fits easily within this envelope....

Padded, Priority Flat Rate Envelope....9.5" x 12.5"
where does the mailer box come from? and how much is it?
Bags Unlimited sells this particular one.
I order them in a pack of 100 and then use them over the course of years....they wind up being $0.73 each including shipping.
I believe other companies make a similar product but this one works best for me.

Yet another idea.
This was amazingly rigid, much more so than it looked. I really like the design, and the way it keeps the book centered within the box and away from the sides.
Yeah,I just recently recieved a parcel like this and was very pleased with how well it worked myself.
