  1. I attended WWF UK Rampage in 1991 I think it was 1989 I met him...At the horse track...
  2. I don't know of any books that were reprints in the Marvel 2- or 3-packs except GI Joe and Thundercats. The Secret Wars books are all first prints. Sorry,I thought it read that there were SW 2nd prints.Busy with the puppy and have lost my force.
  3. Hepcat, you positively rock.Buzzy...with the new avatar its like talking to a stranger....
  4. So these books you mention in the last paragraph can still, potentially, be found in the three packs they sold when I was a kid? (Secret Wars, ect) Also, were the Secret Wars reprints in the pre packs only,or available on the spinner? If they were pre pack only, would that not make them more scarce?I got into Secret Wars first series most likely from finding them in those Woolco or Towers ect multi pacs as I was too young first time around( I knew about Secret Wars 2 from falling head over heels crazy over the cover of #4 at the 7 eleven ) .And that brings up another question from me...are there Second prints of Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars #8, and would it be harder to find, particularly in high grade? Thanks in advance, Jimmers
  5. Okay...very complete and well put explanation on the Joes there.Thank you,a lot of info but easily understood. Now,would folks consider these 65 cent reprints desirable(. Nevermind,of course someone will)?I have a few and just chalked them up to Canadian pricing variants. A tad off topic, but anyone here have a complete set, reprints et all? That would be quite a feat and chore. Jimmers
  6. Captain Redpants!? Well,my pants have twenty two different flavours!
  7. I'm sure a UK board member could give you a couch maybe? Volunteers? PS Zombie dong. Watching Talking Dead.laffed hard.
  8. What constitutes this being "no-contest"? While I'm not informed about the G.I. Joe reprints, the first issue of The 'Nam quickly went to a second printing due to demand in 1986. (I first started collecting right around this time, and the reprint was on sale around the same time as issue 3 or 4.) Wouldn't Star Wars reprints be a result of demand? Or, are we somehow separating second prints from reprints (which come out second)? I go with RMA.I believe the Joes and Star Wars were reprints,no?
  9. Yep,oily stinging fun! The snake is really quite cuddly though. The tarantula hairs are super itchy. The original itching powder I believe.Gets painful.Once I got one in the eye and had to go to hospital.
  10. I met honky tonk man as a kid....jerkwad to the nth.
  11. I still want the Treasury book. I'm really liking all of the non-superhero books coming out. I love me some tights, but I really got into The Wake, and I'm looking forward to this as well. I hope it continues as an ongoing. I think stories like this can really expand into its own universe. Look at the Halo universe. It's pretty damn in depth and it all started as a game. If this is done right I can see it moving forward for years to come like TWD. I just hope it has staying power and people drop it just because its "not hot". Like I've said before. I'm in this 50% investment, 50% for the stories and art. it's a win win. I missed this earlier- is it the same story in the treasury book? ill find out come next week when it gets to me.. I picked one up myself before the prices got shot up … my lcs didnt have it... will report back once i get it and flip through it Have fun trying to figure out what to do with it. I'm still uncertain what to do with my Superman vs Spider-Man. [/quote Ugh...as disappointing as Batman vs the Hulk....why not Hulk vs Superman,Batman vs Spiderman....way better fight...although Bats did okay against Hulk considering..
