  1. You will not be refunded for cards that are well below the tier max value. Instead, you can split your cards into different batches, one for high value cards and one for low value cards, and submit them under different tiers. You will have to pay additional fees (e.g. separate return shipping costs for each batch), but that should still be cheaper than submitting everything under the express tier.
  2. Maybe contact customer service to see how to send it back in to get the label corrected. service@CGCcards.com I’m not a Pokémon collector, but I don’t see any reason why the wrong label would increase the value of the card.
  3. I have some cards SFG as well, and was told the same thing. I have seen some McFarlane cards that were signed in an earlier batch, and a few are currently listed on eBay. While the submission shows up on the cgc comics page, try entering the submission number on the cgc trading cards page to see your actual list of submitted cards.
  4. If you haven’t seen it yet, I think a lot of your questions are addressed in the pages linked here: https://www.cgccards.com/submit/how-to-submit/ In general, only the bulk tier has a minimum number of cards. The higher tiers cost more but have faster turnaround times if that’s important for you, and don’t require a minimum. If each of your cards are valued (ungraded) at less than $500, you could simply use the economy tier for example. If you have cards that are valued more, select a higher tier. The value is per card and is just your best estimate of the fair market value (eg check eBay’s completed prices). CGC recommends submitting cards in penny sleeves and then put in semi-rigid holders.
  5. Saw one of these recently that was graded. It was folded in the slab. Picture below (not mine).
  6. CGC just had a signing with him in October. That said, I wouldn’t mind if he did another one this year.
  7. I’m quite pleased with the turnaround times for my latest submissions: Express with sub-grades entered 2/16, shipped 2/22 (4 working days) Standard with sub-grades: entered 2/16, shipped 3/1 (9 working days) Economy without sub-grades: entered 2/16, shipped 3/1 (9 working days) Much faster than the estimated times!
  8. CGC recently put out an article that explains green labels: https://www.cgccards.com/news/article/11291/green-qualified-label/ Here’s a screenshot shot of the portion that explains the “Inked” qualifier.
  9. This would be a great option to have. I have a few sketches that aren’t in the best condition (e.g. dinged corners), and I feel that a low numerical grade would detract too much from the artwork. If an AU option were available from CGC, I would love to get them slabbed.
  10. @KaileeS CS thanks again to you and your colleagues for all the help! I have a few of these artist proofs with such notation that I look forward to sending in for grading.
  11. @NickiO CS Thank you for the reply. How can I verify if an artist proof card is packed pulled?
  12. Great, looking forward to it! Thanks for the update @KaileeS CS
  13. Hi @KaileeS CS, just wanted to revisit this question since I have now seen Marvel artist proof cards with the blue label rather than green (example attached), and the label specifically indicates artist proof. Will these typically get blue labels now if the artist is identified? Thanks!
  14. I have some cards awaiting signing as well. Check for your submission on CGC comics website rather CGC trading cards. My understanding is that the comics division is handling the signing.
  15. @Iceman399 Thanks, that’s definitely helpful to know. I’m not going to open it to find out! 😂
  16. Probably better to ask on the CSG forums? https://boards.csgcards.com/ CSG grades the sports cards, CGC grades non-sports cards.
  17. Some photos of the cards would be helpful. Otherwise it’s anyone’s guess.
  18. Appreciate the help! Looking more closely, the pack does appear different than other unlimited boosters I see from google. The font on the bottom differs and the “trading card game” label is just below “Pokémon” on the unlimited packs.
  19. I’m not a Pokémon collector so please forgive me if this is an obvious question. This booster has been sitting unopened in a blister pack for two decades. The back shows (C) 1999 Wizards of the Coast, but there is no “1st Edition” logo that I’ve seen on other booster packs from that first set. Is this from the “Unlimited” set? Thanks for any help!
  20. I have a few cards awaiting signing as well. I saw some cards that were signed by McFarlane in October, and they look pretty nice in the slabs. Can’t wait to get mine back. Given the huge amount of comic books and cards that were sent in, he’s signing them in different batches from what I understand.
  21. My childhood copy of Spider-Man #1 was entered 11/28, signed on 12/11, and shipped on 12/15, faster than I expected honestly. Meanwhile I still have some Marvel trading cards entered 11/3 that are still awaiting signing.
  22. Now that CGC has announced the new holders for metal Pokémon, are the Marvel planet metal and printing plates also acceptable for grading at this point? Thanks!
  23. @KaileeS CS Thank you very much for the reply. I'm glad I asked before sending them in. Part of my confusion was that CGC announced in November that the very first graded Star Wars card was an autographed printing plate featuring Harrison Ford as Han Solo, so I was wondering if similar types of metal cards from Marvel sets would be acceptable. But I will hold off on sending any Marvel metal cards until CGC announces otherwise. https://www.cgccards.com/news/article/10888/ Regarding sketch cards from Marvel sets, if they are signed by the artist but I can't read the signature or tell who the artist is from the signature, would these also receive the green qualified label as if the artist is unknown? Thanks again!
  24. The enjoyment, enthusiasm, and passion that you, Matt, and Joe have for these Marvel cards really shows. Thank you for sharing this video and this amazing collection.
