  1. I might struggle with the 48 hour turnaround over the weekend but will give it a try.
  2. So sad, too much great talent being lost lately. Absolutely my fav Spider-man artist.
  3. I've posted about this before but am facinated how the stat graph in the CLZ app captures my collecting habits over the years. The highs and lows can all be tied to life events and times away from the hobby. I'm sure my next goals will be focused on the late 50's through the 60's. Work to do on the first couple years in the 70's too.
  4. Great stuff and a great idea to about all the early appearances. I recently completed a side quest of all Him/Adam/Warlock silver and bronze appearances. I can see myself doing something similar again.
  5. I do have a few of those. It was a great way to read reprinted stories when I was younger.
  6. I forgot to add them and just did. I have all of those too. Except ultimate fallout...
  7. Golden age is a slippery slope and a death knell to my wallet. I do need to upgrade some of the ASM issues and will do so over time. What's next? Sell my dupes, continue on the other silver and bronze runs in varuious states of progress. For new, likely pre-hero Marvel and then pre code horror. When retirement comes, I'll sell them all off so consolidation is nearing in the coming years.
  8. My first foray into a pedigree courtesy of Clink and the late @djpinkpanther67 collection. Great read on the history of this, I really know nothing about pedigrees.
  9. Clink pick-up to complete the run! See my post here for the details.

  12. I keep playing the lottery so maybe? I've resigned myself as that is a book I'll likely never own.
  13. Probably around 53 years ago, I began my love affair with comics. I'm pretty sure I posted at one point about being in the hospital for some surgery and meeting a slightly older patient who lost half his leg in an accident. I was 5 at the time and I can remember him sitting in his bed with a bunch of comics and I was fascinated. Shortly after that I would get my parents to buy me books, usually Casper, Archie, Sad Sack etc... When I was about 8 I finally convinced them to allow me to buy super hero books. My fixation with Spider-man began shortly after that. I'm pretty sure that my first issue of ASM was #146 and I would continue to buy regularly until 1980 when I stopped collecting during high school. I was in and out of the hobby throughout the 80's until the mid 90's. Since that point, I've been working hard to have a complete run of ASM. I was lucky enough to have found this place which gave me a great venue to purchase some books at great prices, multiple LCS locations, cons, auctions etc... This past week-end I have completed the run of ASM 1 to today (currently @ #920) including all annuals, king size, giant size etc... I've also completed full runs of all major Spider-man titles (including annuals) with a few minor exceptions. I've excluded mini-series but do have a decent amount of them: Completed: The Amazing Spider-Man #1–441 (vol. 2) #1–58, #500-700 (January 1999 – December 2012). Also includes issues numbered #654.1, 679.1, 699.1, 700.1–700.5 (vol. 3) #1–18 (April 2014 – August 2015). 14. Hmmm, glad I got some when I did I guess. They have the brown backs which really isn't bothering me too much. Thinner is another story...
  15. Looks like his Comiclink auctions did pretty well (without checking GPA). https://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/search.asp?PreviewCode=2023may&where=auctions&title=thomas+drew&GO=GO&ItemType=CB I bid aggressively on one of the pedigrees and won. Thanks again to @GACollectibles for posting that link intitally.

  17. Spot checking the grading on a recent purchase after arrival today, had a fumble. I really hate self sticking bags now
  18. I had a significant win tonight on clink and probably paid 25% less than last GPA sale. Not quite apples to apples on PQ but still think I got a decent price. Last book to complete a major run so pretty stoked about the deal.
