    Those threads from the old CPG were pure gold and told me a lot about this guy. I really wish that forum hadn't crashed with a complete data loss. While I truly feel bad for him, I feel worse for those impacted and am really not surprised we are where we are.

    I someone had to guess and put a rough estimate of the number of slabs impacted, is it greater than the 2000+ submissions? I would assume that at least a moderate portion would be donor books or at least "normal" submissions to muddy the waters and not have everything be suspect by being completely obvious.

    For the record, I never thought this current mess was his end game. If you saw his early work and our interactions on CPG forums, you would understand why I raised the questions about his behavior and not being upfront about what he was doing. While it sounds like he honed his skills over time, my gut feeling about him would have prevented me from sending him anything to restore, let alone press. I gave him the benefit of the doubt 14 years ago but yet here we are...

    A leopard can’t change it’s spots. There was a sense of deception early on with this guy. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it at the time but I’m not shocked by this really.
