Just posted this in bronze but am jazzed to find my first price variant so I thought I'd post here, too. Found this and a few others in a crate. No bags (well, maybe 6 or so of the 100) and no boards. Just sitting there. $2 each.

And I found this to go with his big brother below... Love the Monster Hunters.

Was walking through an "antique" store today (closer to junk) and stumbled upon a crate of comics. What the heck, I think. You never know. So I start going through the unbagged (all but like 6, no boards) comics and see this. And I think, whoa. What's up with this. When I ask the guy how much, he asks when it's from and I tell him the 70's and he says $2. Sold. How'd I do here? Nowhere near a fantastic copy but it's the first I've ever run across so I'm kind of jazzed...

The last of my VCC pick ups... very happy here. A good upgrade for me.

Actually, Jughead was free with the purchase of Shock #1. Shock #1, however, wasn't free... but totally worth it.

Herbie #3 Double Cover...

I notice that under the 9.9 for the grade they have "Mint" also written. Looking quickly at other items, there isn't a "Near Mint plus" under a 9.6 grade. 9.9's are so special they revert back to the old name system?

Not sure if this has been posted but I'm currently "pressing" it because it's got a subscription crease. Although, as you can see, that's the least of my worries! Love the book and cover nonetheless...

Those Russkie covers are awesome... The hammer and sickle. Does anything else say "Stinkin' Commie" more? Maybe "CCCP" but Namor isn't competing in the Olympics.

Funny story... I got them on Friday and put the box next to my trash can but forgot to take them home. About half-way home, I realized I had forgotten them and about my pants because I was worried that the garbage folks would think they're trash and take them out too. I wasn't about to turn around (there was a Giants game that night - getting back into the City would have taken another 45 minutes - 1 hour) so I had to worry all weekend that the books were going to be gone... but I got in this AM and they're all safe and sound.
