  1. I have an unabashed love of Harvey Comics dating back to the mid-1970s and, over a lifetime spent trying to recapture my youth by tracking down well-remembered Casper and Richie Rich comics from childhood, have acquired a stack of extras.

Not sure if there are many (or any!) fans of Bronze Age Harvey comics on these boards but figured I would give a thread a try before moving them elsewhere. These aren’t a bunch of readers – the lot listed here average Very Fine with some copies that could conservatively be called Near Mint (probably came out of multi packs). They are all bagged and boarded.

To keep things easy, because I know these aren’t exactly hot keys with a ton of GPA data (at least until news leaks out of a new Richie Rich movie in the works), the selling price is $5 per comic.

As an added incentive, if you buy 5 comics, the next comic you take is free (6 comics for $25)! If you buy 10 comics, the next three comics you take are free (13 comics for $50)!!

    Here are the rules:

o   No Probies or Hall of Shame members.

    o   Payment via Paypal.

o   USA Shipping will be Media Mail at $5 for the 1st comic and 50 cents for each additional comic shipped (Priority can be quoted at cost if preferred). Canadian shipping will be $10 for the 1st comic and 50 cents for each additional comic shipped. I normally ship in 2-3 days.

    o   No returns

o   References: Have bought a ton of stuff (probably too much) on the boards if that counts for anything. Also have a Kudos thread:

  2. Haven't read the article, but my take has always been that Fantastic Four #1 in 1961 was the genesis of the Marvel universe as we now know it and I think it is generally agreed that the original FF were a reworked version of the Challengers of the Unknown, created by Kirby for DC in 1957. Knowing this, I believe it must have been Kirby who took the idea to Lee for the new team, not the other way around, so I give JK credit for being the impetus behind the early MCU though, of course, his ideas wouldn't have gone anywhere without Stan's monumental assistance!

I contacted them and they are no longer acting facilitating autographs for Mr. Romita... Does anyone out there know of any facilitators that are? or is he for all intents and purposes not doing autographs anymore?

Desert Wind has an upcoming signing listed on their page. My guess is this may be one of the last opportunities to get Jazzy John's sig as I had previously heard he had retired from the autograph biz. Spots are $120 per sig (plus fees) and I bet they will go fast!

Great pickup on the Weird Mystery Tales. The bears on the cover remind me of the Gund Peekaboo Bear my 18-month old daughter has. You squeeze the bear's foot and it talks to her and plays peekaboo for a minute or so. She loves it, but the first time I saw it in action (it is scarily realistic) it definitely creeped me out - I blame my reaction on too many 1970's Sunday afternoons spent watching the Twilight Zone and reading comics just like this one! :fear:

  5.

Action Comics Superman Issue Number 1.

This is in mint condition, never been opened or torn. Completely perfect, no damages.
Official real Action Comics #1. First ever Superman Comic.
Includes Certificate of Authentication from DC Comics. I will handle shipping.
Online, through multiple sources, this comic is worth up to 3 million dollars.

I recieved this from Loot Crate as a reprint, but it is 100% authentic, proved by real Certifcate of Authentication.

The certificate clearly confirms the comic as an authentic reprint, not an original. Add in the fact that he is asking $20k for a comic he claims is worth up to 3 million dollars...this is almost as bad as the Nigerian Prince scam.
