I think up to 89 is the golden age due to Destro's Iron Grenadiers and the amazing story that was happening on Cobra Island to tie it altogether. Some really good figures came out of 89 such as Alley Viper, Annihilator, Night Viper, and such.
Agree! Good memories from that time.

I got this a while back. Love the combo of Enemy Ace and Batman!

Anyone still buying the Star Wars action figure variants? I dropped out at issue 12. Wondering if others are still collecting them...
Yes!

That's very cool. Hama has said that he enjoys doing other things besides Snake Eyes. I was hoping that he would have shown up at the Carbo show despite what happened last year but he did not. I will have to wait until NYCC to get another sketch opportunity. (Usually on the 8x11 paper)
Anyone have any suggestions?
I was thinking of Tunnel Rat since the character was based on him.
Tunnel Rat would be cool! Not many comic creators have a character based on them.

Grail. Achieved.

I got this a while back. The great Larry Hama pencils and inked and colored by James O' Barr!

THIS is the book everyone should have.

One of a kind only graded and SS copy! I looked for years for one and turns out Rich Henn had one hidden under his bed. This actually is a good read too.

Hey guys,
I just got a book back that I had signed and sketched by Jimmy Palmiotti. He says he can't draw, but I convinced him to do this anyway. It took him all of 5 minutes, but I'd say he did a great job. He's a very nice guy, by the way.
Thanks Jimmy!
Very cool! Nice to see someone else collects these. Here's mine that I bought recently. Russ Heath

That's an intense cover, never saw it before. Congrats on finding one in 9.8!
-
Very cool story, congrats! I had no idea such a cover existed. I remember that series too and remember Venom as a great new character.
-
Thanks! It does indeed present well.
The last two wash tones I have signed by the great Russ Heath

For any Godzilla fans out there this is the only graded copy of this comic.
Signed by:
Haruo Nakajima the actor who first played Godzilla in films as well as the most for the Showa Era.
Kenpachiro Satsuma the actor who played Godzilla in The Return of Godzilla and the most for the Heisei Era.
Tsutomu Kitagawa the actor who played Godzilla in Godzilla 2000 and the most for the Millineum Era
Thanks DScott and Ty Salazar for your help on this one.
Very unique and very cool!

And had this one signed by both greats, Kubert and Heath. The only one ever signed by both.
-
I just had my favorite Russ Heath cover and favorite grey tone signed by the man himself! This is a great thread!

Looked for this issue in grade for years, then Rich Henn came through! Only graded copy, and a cool story too.

Hello,
Do you have the flip and stick CGC bags for the thicker CGC cases, for example the kind of cases that DC 100 page comic book would be in?
Thanks!

I think they are following the original format of when they released the action figures.
So Yoda or the Emperor would not appear for a while if this is correct.
Correct. With the exception of Lando (for his own book) and Boba (artist variants - though the Kenner giveaway first appears on the 20cardbacks and he pops up on the 21cardback too) they have followed the 70s Kenner figure releases. The original 12cardbacks are all done, and from the 20cardbacks list, the next two should be Power Droid ("gonk" droid) and Walrus Man (Ponda Baba) though I'm not sure what order. Lando first comes up in the 31/32 ESB cardbacks, but the exception for his own book makes sense.
Curious if they'll continue all the way through the 92cardback POTF ones

Awesome! I was going to link to this page too. I hope they do all 92 figures myself.

Awesome! This was the very first Star Wars figure I received as a little guy.

Nice ones !!
SS war comics are seldom seen.
Thanks for the comments fellas!
I might be the only DC war comics SS collector. Here's a link to the rest of my Russ Heath signed books on myslabbedcomics:
