I've been waiting to post this. I finally got these beauties scanned so I can show them off. Many, many thanks to boardie @Nickbandit1977 for working with me to get these (for me) grail books for my action figure variant collection.
If anybody has Fisher signed Vader Down #1 store variants (any of the six), let me know. I'd also be looking for the Vader Down #1 Wonderworld Mail-away 3-pack action figure cover with Luke/Leia/Han signed by any/all of those three cast.I think those would be the only action figure variants she could have signed before her untimely passing.
I live vicariously through your amazing collection....I didn't know she signed the #19.

Off topic, but so many of you war collectors have encouraged me over the years so I wanted to share this here...my own WW1 comic, CGC graded! So, thanks to all you guys who are so fun to talk with and share with. I also shared my favorite Russ Heath cover that he graciously signed for me years ago too. I'm going to create a WW2 comic based on the 99th Infantry Division's stand on Elsenborn Ridge during the Battle of the Bulge. Thanks!

Congrats on your book! Super cool.
Are you selling slabbed copies?
Thank you! I plan to sell slabbed copies, but I have no idea how to price them....I submitted five copies this first time and got three 9.8 and two 9.6 grades. I just sent in five more copies to get graded last week.

Hooray! I worked with the very talented artist Rahsan Ekedal for three years on our graphic novel titled Soldiers Unknown. My story is about three Yurok Native American soldiers from northwestern California who are drafted and then fight for the U.S. Army in World War One in France. The book is historical fiction, as it is based on my two great-great-uncles who served in the 91st Infantry Division and fought in the Meuse-Argonne offensive. This offensive remains the U.S. Army's largest battle in history. I also wrote about how the surviving Yurok men returned home and used cultural disciplines to help heal from the conflict. I have many relatives who have served in the U.S. military over the generations.
My book was officially endorsed by the United States World War One Centennial Commission, which was comprised of a group of presidential-appointed academics and military personnel. My book was the ONLY comic this commission endorsed for historical accuracy and appropriate representation in their five-year history. So this book helps represent and convey the United States WW1 military experience, but through the cultural lens of Native American men. The commission allowed us to use their logo on the bottom right of the cover as part of their endorsement.
But now...I'm happy to share that I had some of my books graded by CGC! After all my years of collecting CGC books, I can read my own name on one! And it's worth millions! (LOL, not yet at least).
I'm busy working on several new comic stories with Rahsan and other great artists too. But here's my book...
Thank you for reading this, Chag Lowry
PS- If anyone is interested in purchasing here's a link to the book on Amazon. The book is 120 pages and full color. It barely fit inside the CGC case!

I just bought this copy of Ice Cream Soldier's first appearance. I decided I'd collect first appearances of Sgt Rock's fellow Easy Company men! I'll get Sure Shot, Bulldozer, and Wild Man...who else would you guys consider as key Easy characters? Hope everyone is well and safe this Memorial Day weekend.

Interesting question.
Although I personally consider only works by Larry Hama to be canon to the copper age ARAH line it is really hard to say that this particular series from the DD line is not canon . The reason I say that it is, is because it does a very good job of "coloring inside the lines" as far as the Snake Eyes back story goes. DD does that to varying shades with the rest of the titles in their re-birthing of GI Joe but Snake Eyes :Declassified shines true in that regard. I have not read the trade paper back so I cannot speak to the continuity of that particular tale but if it follows suit I am sure it fits in just as well.
Curios to hear if Hama himself has commented on the matter?
Hama wrote an intro to this series where he basically said this series was part of the "official" origin of Snake Eyes. I would consider this as his permission regarding the story, but I'm interested to hear what other Joe fans and readers think too. Thanks!

Although it's not a Copper Age GI Joe comic, I've been re-reading the Snake Eyes: Declassified story that Devil's Due put out. I think it's a great story myself, and am wondering if people here consider it to be canon? I really like the Trade ending where they connected a lot of the characters in Snake Eyes' life and gave updates on them. What do you guys think?
