  1. Did you have to pay the slabbing fee a second time when they did re-holder your books? That is horrible story to hear about your WW #50, that only would be enough to make me very reluctant to re-send them books. I hope that they did compensate you for the damage.
  2. Good to know. Now what can I do with a CGC book that has Newton rings? Can it be fixed without cracking it? Why did CGC decide to change into that new generation of slabs? The second generation were great, why changing them for such a worse product?
  3. Touch the covers, they have a different a texture. Also, read that thread: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/439835-2000-ce-when-pressing-was-restoration/
  4. I am not an engineer but could there be a correlation between pressing and Newton rings? I know it sounds crazy but all CGC books that I have purchased from the new generation have some Newton rings, more or less depending of the books. The only ones that have no Newton rings at all from the new slab generation are the ones I did submit myself and that I know have not been pressed. Is this just coincidence? Am I getting paranoid here?
  5. Probably being late to the party and I did not read all threads about Newton rings but just did receive an expensive item from Comiclink and it has several Newton rings on the CGC holder Book looks good inside but the rings really transform it into an ugly display and I do not dare cracking the case as it is a new case and probability of discovering that the book has been pressed terrifies me. Any update from CGC about this? Can they replace a CGC holder with rings by another one without rings? Thanks in advance for the info.
