  1. Man - that's a bummer. I've been speaking with Signature Series customer service about one of my submissions specifically, because it was a remarque that I was planning on sending into another private signing in mid-May to have remarqued by another artist. They have been assuring me that they fully expected the Jim Lee remarqued book to come back in time for that private signing. That said, it's all been vague/generalized assurances, whereas it sounds like the Jim Lee rep you spoke with provided a lot of very specific details and suggested we're going to be waiting quite a while. I hope that's not the case, but their info seems a bit more believable than what CGC has been telling me, unfortunately.
  2. I tried reaching out on Jim Lee's discord for more information (e.g. a timing estimate), and was told by his mod, "They'll be done when they're done, no ETA can really ever be given on these kinds of things" ...so there's that.
  3. @CGC Mike I just read through the Art Adams thread, and it does sound like this is a similar situation (with a lot of the same concerns / complaints). Are you able to inquire on your end and provide any more info?
  4. I know people who submitted their books for remarques after me who already received theirs back - so I think we were just unlucky to fall within that second wave. That said, 1) I agree that someone should have proactively told us that versus us having to contact customer service (multiple times in my case) to receive this update; 2) I think it'd be a nice gesture for CGC to offer those of us with the misfortune of being delayed (9+ weeks and counting at this point) some sort of discount or something; and 3) I still don't understand why they didn't get any sort of estimate from JL on when he might finish the remaining books, and are unwilling to inquire further at this point. It has been over 2 months since the signing, and there are customers who paid thousands of dollars for this service. I think it's totally reasonable to ask when he might get around to finishing them.
  5. FYI - 3 of my Jim Lee submissions (all remarques or sketches) are still "received at CCS," so I inquired about what was going on. I was told by customer service (via email): "due to the volume of submissions from the Jim Lee signing, we had to schedule a second wave of remarques which all three invoices fell into. These are still with the artist, and we are waiting on them to be returned. Normally when this happens, when we get them back, they will be rushed through to make up for lost time." Has this ever happened to anyone else before? I'm trying to get an estimate for how long of a delay there may be - but they couldn't provide any.
  6. Hello everyone! I submitted a PSA 10 trading card for the Jim Lee signing, and just found out that it was ultimately re-graded as a CGC9. Is it common for CGC to grade significantly harsher than PSA? I'm debating resubmitting for a regrade vs. sending it back to PSA for a regrade and signature authentication.
  7. Hello everyone! Relatively new to comic book collecting and CGC in general, but Deadpool has always been my favorite character since growing up in the 90s, and about 6 months ago I bought a clean NM 98 on facebook marketplace and submitted it for grading. Sure enough - it received a 9.8 white! I've also been watching Rob's whatnot shows over the past month or so, and he has recently indicated that he's more than likely going to do a private signing with CGC at some point this year. He hasn't said anything at all about offering remarques. My question for all of you, is: IF he ends up doing the signing, what books would you want to send in? How about IF he offers remarques as well? This is all for my personal collection, so I'd likely have my NM 98 cracked, and send that in and roll the dice on the regrade. The potential lower grade isn't a huge concern since I'm not planning on ever selling. I don't think I'd want a remarque on it, though...but could be convinced it's the best option. Something like a blank page NM 98 facsimile is likely too much space for a remarque (better for a sketch cover) - so I'm stumped what I would want to submit for that. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before anything is announced!! Thanks, everyone.
