  1. I'd appreciate any opinions on a grade for this. Thanks in advance for your time.
  2. Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the advice.
  3. OK, cool. I understand. Thanks for all of your advice. I guess I wasn't completely clear about how much pressing can do.
  4. Sorry to have such basic questions, but how does one know when pressing helps? So, for example, after some cursory research, I submitted some books requesting CCS. Just 3, but I thought they could get the crease out (or at least reduce it) of the following comic. I regret not taking before pics (last time for that)... so it will be hard to determine if anything was amiss, but I am somewhat certain that these creases were not altered at all. I understand that creases come in various degrees of... depth, I guess. And I assumed that pressing would remove grime. See the back cover pic. In addition, please check out the processing time. Economy--from received, pressed, graded, only 10 days. (see middle entry) Kinda doubting that the CCS even happened, but again, I guess it is possible. Thanks in advance for any advice. I have a few more to submit but thinking that CCS is not worth the money--or maybe I just don't understand its limitations.
  5. Thanks for your help. It doesn't seem to have that option for X-Men 116... but I will try again. Probably my own inattention. Thanks again.
  6. I am submitting a book with a Mark Jeweler's insert (X-men 116, if interested). There doesn't seem to be any area to describe this on the submission form--will the graders automatically see it and record it on the label? Thanks in advance.
  7. My first CGC submission. Found these 6 GA issues here in Japan. Sent them in a year ago--they look nice in the cases.
  8. Wow, weird... WTH was I thinking? Yes, if you can merge them, that would be great. Sorry for the trouble.
  9. Thanks for your help, Mike. I am new at this and didn't realize I had 2 accounts.
  10. Back from CGC today. Hit 4.0, but no mention of the bleeding ink in grader's notes. Thanks for everyone's expert opinions.
  11. Back from CGC today. Hit 0.5, disappointing but I miscalculated the page count--seems like one is missing. Thanks for everyone's expert opinions.
  12. Back from CGC today. Hit 3.5, guess I got a little lucky. Thanks for everyone's expert opinions.
  13. Back from CGC today. Hit 5.5, maybe with GA bump. Thanks for everyone's expert opinions.
  14. Back from CGC today. Hit 2.0, as you all said. Thanks for everyone's expert opinions.
  15. Back from CGC today. Hit 3.5. Thanks for everyone's expert opinions.
  16. Hello all. I have yet to send comics to CGC but am preparing to do so soon. I am hoping to find answers to the 2 following questions. I looked about but found contradictory or ambiguous information. 1) Is the $150 credit applicable on the first order? So I pay the Premium fee, send in books, and that credit will immediately apply to the grading fees on that first order, right? 2) I live in Japan, so I'm a bit worried about return shipping fees. (Shipping FROM Japan TO US is relatively cheap, but FROM US is so expensive... Not sure why... Maybe auction sellers jack up the prices a bit?) Anyway, can anyone direct me to a page on CGC explaining international fees? I directly asked CGC but no reply came, which made me a bit concerned. Thanks for any help!
  17. Thanks everyone for your time and expertise!
  18. PGM Batman #184. All pages intact. Edge wear on spine; spine roll more prominent at the bottom. Left corners have wear, too. Dirty BC. Thanks in advance for all of your help.
  19. Thanks everyone. I appreciate your evaluations.
  20. Hello all, I am new to the CGC grading universe. Hoping to submit my first comics to be graded this year, but I have questions about C&P and when it should be used. I have recently posted a few GA Superman books on the PGM thread, and a few were judged to be 2.0 / 3.0. Given the relatively poor condition, can these books even be considered for C&P or would that process damage them further? I have included just a couple of photos here so you can see the conditions. I was wondering if the edges and spines are too fragile for C&P... And, in addition, if C&P would even do much for lower grade books like these?
  21. PGM. Batman #183. All pages intact. Edge wear on spine. Left corners have wear, too. Bottom right corner creased. Dirty BC. Thanks in advance for all of your help.
  22. PGM Detective Comics 356. Wear on edges. Some dings on the corners. Dirty BC.
  23. Thanks, Amazeron. I was thinking that the poor spine would draw the grade down much further...
