9.0. I would not spend the money on a press. The value difference from 9.0 to 9.2 isn't there. Of course it's not always about value. Just my opinion.

Not a comic book - just a silver "coin" of the AF15 cover.
They were about $150 directly from NZ-Mint. I think it was originally $300 to get a Gem Mint copy from CGC.
The gold foil version, IIRC, was not available outside of the CGC version (which was originally $5k for a Gem Mint copy).
So it's a giant silver "coin" of the AF 15 cover. Weird.

What is this book worth/cost?

Isn't 9.0 (VF/NM) "NN range"?

Well then it's not VF range either. It must be a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma range.

I say crack it out, melt down the label, and make some fine hand crafted jewelry. CHA CHING!

All I can tell you is that I worked with Steve Borock for 4 years. He told me he saw the Action #1 in question and graded it in the Near Mint range. You're welcome...

"Not in this thread"? Are you implying that you will elsewhere?

Will you be posting any Atlas war in 7.0 or better?

I have seen the Hulk 181 CGC 9.9 in person. Would it be a 9.9 if graded today? It is also an old label.

THAT'S RIGHT! They called it a facejob. Memories.

Does anybody remember the upgrade scandal when books were getting upgraded by moving front cover spine defects to the back cover with spine realignment? Those were the days.

Looks like a 2.0 to me, maybe a 2.5 with a GA bump...
Agreed.

Agreed, I thought 7.5 too when I first saw this an hour ago. I said it more for the long color breaking crease on the back and some spine ticks that are hard to see because of the photo quality and yellow cover.
Are you talking about the crease through the Bunnies ears? That looks like a printers crease. I wouldn't count off for that.
-
7.5 due to foxing on back cover spine.

I purchased a Hulk 181 from a guy. He cut out the stamp himself and kept it with the book. I thought that if I taped the stamp back into the book it would receive a blue label with a note on the label. Something like "piece reattached with tape" I was wrong. It still came back green. Go figure.

Brittle pages?

Oldest in terms of date graded? Oldest in terms of the age of the book itself?
Age of the book itself.

Let's have some fun and see who can post an image of the oldest 9.9!

That's a good looking book. Did you read this specific copy?
