Nice eBay auctions ending, I got sniped on each book but it's ok.

I feel bad for the guy who paid 900$ for the Albatross #1, it sold for less than 300$...

dont feel bad for me or ffcomics as we both bought one for 900.00.. feel bad for the seller who only sold his for 300 last night.. This book is worth more then 900.00 there are only four of them! its worth every penny.. By far the hardest book of the goon series to get in 9.8... I wouldnt let mine go for a 2000.00 right now. I was going to take the one last night but decided to give it to TJ as he needed it more then myself!

So feel bad for the guy who took a major loss in the pocket and gave the book away! I know what my book is worth...

so we have to send it back to have it re-slabbed?

I bought this one from another collector. I have submitted nicer copys then this of other books and was shot down to a 9.6... So I bought this w/ out seeing it. But as I said when I submit nicer copys and they only score a 9.6 I expect when I pay for a 9.8 to get a 9.8...

I just dont understand how someone can clearly miss that big crease that breaks paint....

I would never ever submit a modern book w/ creases on it even if it breaks or dont break paint, yet they keep coming back to me w/ creases on them...

I have come up w/ a new packaging system and its been helping alot. I think my problems at the beginning was w/ shipping.. However back to the above book how does one miss that?? I have nicer 9.6 copys then this book...

well i paid a nice price for the book and it was described as a 9.8 i get it in the mail and had that tick... pretty bummed out.. This should clearly be a 9.6

would this on a book reduce to a 9.6?

both my number 1's are slabbed... however TJ went through his beater copy and this story is not in avatar #1... its in the first paper trade back book which was released way after avatar #1... but i will dbl ck.

TJ is meetingh Eric Powell today to get his thoughts on the book... What will cgc do w/ all these books from avatar #! that say first app? Is this 4 page from dreamwalker only good enough for a cameo? I hope not...This should be a first full app.. This is why the other day TJ started a thread on how many pages does it take for a first App... So now that this has been broke wide open what everybodyd thoughts? Mine opinion is this is a bonified first app!

oh and far from a kid punk... i wish i had my teenage zits back and all the grays were not coming.... me and the 32 yr old wife as i near 40 yrs old...

that story has nothing to do w/ the first avatar issue so cgc cant say its a preview like they did w/ avatar illustrated summer 98.... this is a 4 page run. the story from this book was also released later on in 2000 i believe in a trade paper back.. however what came first the chicken or the egg??

ok this is way to funny i should have never called cgc about this... i told them about some stuff and everyday i learn of more and more people finding out...... good thing i bought every available copy on the internet...haha

nice sketches! im not sure about the variants i thought it was a 1/25 for issue 14. However I may be wrong. This would be a question for Mr Lewbowski

so why is it that cgc is not labeling these 1st app?
