I just got off the phone with Matt Nelson and he couldn't have been more nice or professional. He agreed that the books were not pressed to the quality he would expect - so they are going to repress and regrade so we will see how it goes from here. I was a bit frustrated by the whole thing as the customer rep that I dealt with originally was a little less than empathetic with my situation hence I posted before I went through the whole "send them back" process so I apologized to Matt about that - i.e. need to give them a chance to win before I napalm the boards.

I have been submitting to them since it was Classics Incorporated and Matt Nelson was practically a one man shop and I have received books during the past month that do not look like they have been pressed at all. I understand about color breaking creases but I have a number of instances where indentations both on the spine and center area - that do NOT break the cover inks are still there. I would post images but it is too hard to see these flaws when they don't break the cover inks. I have talked to Customer Service and I will send them back to be evaluated. Three books total on three different invoices. I used to be so pleased with the pressing results but no longer. If they can't fix these - or if they give me a hard time about doing so - then I will have to find another presser and not sure who does a really good job these days.
