  1. I guess it is a popular time to hold D'ick. When is it not.
  2. This one is missing the first page. I'm the high bidder BTW You might contact the seller the wording is kinda vague...maybe it's just a small piece out on the first page. Good luck! I hope you get it a decent price. You're right it sounds like 2 small pieces. I've been outbid by the first bidder. I refuse to pay a stupid price like the one last week.
  3. This one is missing the first page. I'm the high bidder BTW
  4. In the books I am aware of- no. They appeared for the first time at auction.
  5. It seems unlikely in these cases. In the case of the PR 18 the other bidder leapfrogged over me several times. One minute I'm the high bidder, the next minute I'm outbid. This went on for awhile until I gave up. Then it shows up on a their website at a fixed price.
  6. And good luck to anyone bidding on the 9.0 Action 1
  7. I guess I started this because I was sick of being outbid on items and then watching them end up as a For Sale. That PR 18 should have been mine. I put in a dozen bids. If they want to sell their items at a certain price, than do so. Please spare us an "auction".
  8. It's disconcerting to realize that the item you're bidding is being counter-bidded by the auction house, who want to realize a set price. A fair price in an auction is 2 or more interested parties bidding to achieve ownership of the item. Other-wise it is conflict of interest. I thought New York had laws against such things. Texas doesn't, where Heritage resides.
  9. Your evidence is...? (I don't mean that rhetorically -- I really want to know what your evidence is.) There's another one on their site from their last auction. Pictorial Romances #18 in 7.0. I was the underbidder. It went for $480.00. It's now for sale at $650.00
  10. This is now sitting on Metro's website for $2100.00!
  11. I think my copy is a US comic. Haven't checked recently. The ANC at the top tells you it's American. The SDD on mine tells you it's Canadian, plus all the ads are Canadian. I'm just shocked I picked up such a scarce book in such nice condition.
  12. Canadian edition. I've never seen an American edition.
  13. Mike, sorry we didn't make it this year, but maybe next. Congrats on your purchase. Use to own a copy. Great cover.
  14. A trio of Mysteries I found at a show recently. You never see Superior's with such a jet black cover.
  15. No wonder I can't win anything. Michael swoops down and they're gone. BTW did anyone here win the PR #18? One other person and I were leapfrogging over each other and I blinked and (s)he got it for $480.00.
  16. Good one Joanna. That's the same copy that sold on CC a couple of years ago for $600.00.
