  3. I have started a thread in the Copper/Modern forum for those books which I can't put here. I cordially invite anyone who's interested to stop by. It can be found at:
  4. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (1986) Limited Signed & Numbered Hardcover Edition $750 Signed by Frank Miller and Limited to 4000 copies One-owner book still in its ORIGINAL BOX! Do you have a Legion time bubble hidden in your basement? No? How about Doc Brown's super-charged Delorean parked in your garage? No!?! Well then, this might be as close as you can get to going back in time to late 1986 and buying this book the day it came out like I did. For those of you who weren't around in the mid to late eighties, the two big names in comics were Frank Miller and Alan Moore. There was mega hype around the Dark Knight Returns limited series (as well as Watchmen) and it didn't disappoint. Comics had grown up. So, when it was announced that there would be a limited, signed and numbered, hardcover collection shipping, WITH ONLY ONE COPY ALLOCATED PER STORE, there was mass hysteria and rioting in the streets. Copies were being pre-advertised at $1,000, to be delivered when they came in and some people were paying that for them. Somehow, I managed to finagle a copy. (Think Kobyashi Maru) The day the book shipped, I picked up my copy and rushed home. I had already gotten and read the trade paperback so I only opened the front of my book far enough to verify that it had an autograph and a number, and I then promptly sealed it inside a comic bag and put it back in the original box where it's been ever since except for twice to take photos. My copy has never been read or even thumbed through. It's virtually in the same pristine state as it was the day I bought it. Any blemishes or defects came with the book from Diamond. There are a few small things like you might expect with any book but it's not like I could say "I don't want this copy. Can I look at the other copies you have?" I can truthfully say that no one but me has handled this book since the day I bought it. I would consider it to be in NM+ or better. Here's my final picture, the back cover out of the bag. My photos probably aren't stellar. If anyone wants more photos, please ask. I won't be taking returns on this book as, once it's out of my hands, I can no longer claim that I've had complete control over it since it came out. Also, I might be open to a trade or partial trade. PM me and we can discuss it. Thanks for reading this far.
  5. This is a sales thread to accompany the one I have going in the GSB forum for books that I can't list there. In case you haven't seen that thread, you can find it at (until I change the thread title and forget to change this link): The standard stuff: I accept Zelle (I think this is the way to go now), USPS Money Orders, checks and PayPal unless otherwise noted for any specific book or lot; books cannot be shipped while payment is outstanding. If there's a payment method not on my list which you would like to use, let me know via PM. Please, no HOS or Probationers. The buyer has three days from the day of receipt to inspect purchases and books must be returned in the same condition as when they were shipped. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless they're being returned due to an error on my part. Disagreement over grading is not an error; enough scans should be provided so that doesn't happen. Payment will be expected within 48 hours unless sending a check or money order by mail or unless otherwise agreed to. You just have to let me know what your plans are and I expect to hear from you within a reasonable amount of time after your purchase. This helps me get my shipping out to everyone quickly without having to make separate trips to the post office to ship one package at a time and I appreciate that courtesy. I reserve the right to cancel sales to buyers who don't follow through in a timely manner after making a purchase in the thread. Unless otherwise noted, 1 to 4 raw books will be a flat $9.00 shipping in the continental US plus the cost of any necessary insurance (which I strongly recommend). Double sized books may count as two. Over 4 raw books will be up to $16.10 for Priority Flat Rate Medium box. One to three slabbed books will be $16.10 Priority Flat Rate plus the cost of insurance and any necessary tracking (again, highly recommended), and exact shipping for more than that (also in the continental US). I can mail to some places outside of the U.S. for exact shipping costs but check with me as there are currently some destinations I can't ship to. You're welcomed and encouraged to PM me with offers but the first unconditional in the thread trumps PM discussions. You know..., the usual stuff. Additional scans are available for any book upon request. My kudos thread: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/241444-jim-corrigans-feedback-thread/ Hopefully, I've covered all of the bases. As always, thanks for looking.
