  1. I saw it late last night, was going to post about it here, but it was late so I put it in my watchlist. Got up this morning, and poof -- all gone.
  2. Hard to believe this is only 5.5. Must have been from CGC's tighter grading phase.
  3. Not my book but I have to post this because... First, it's one of the rarest L.B. Cole teen/romance books (or so I've been told). Second, what in the ever-loving is going on with the characters on the cover? The young woman has tricked the men into chasing her around with lobsters?
  4. Way cool -- did you get the envelope too?
  5. love it love it love it love it love it museum-grade stuff!
  6. This. Okay, so if I get no response, do I ship it to the Paypal address? Contact an eBay representative. They will strongly recommend you not ship to the other address. Also, because you have talked to them and told them the situation, they will have a record of what you've told them (and it is also recorded in the eBay messaging system). That way, if you ship to the correct address and the buyer leaves you negative feedback, you can contact eBay and they'll have evidence on your side that you potentially can use to have the negative feedback removed. Wait for the buyer to respond. Tell the buyer you follow eBay policies, for your own protection. Be polite and courteous, of course. The buyer should understand and be willing to work with you, including honoring your preference for following eBay policies. The buyer is completely at fault here. The buyer should have asked you BEFORE HITTING THE BIN if you'd be willing to ship to another address. You would have said "no," and the buyer wouldn't have hit the BIN, and there'd be no problem. It was presumptuous on the buyer's part to assume you would violate eBay policy.
  7. Can hardly blame you when they're in nice mid-grade and present so well.
  8. He can't afford $1,400, but he can afford close to $4,100.... Maybe he's numerically dyslexic?
  9. Sat at $99... Then in the last 5 seconds, BOOM it's around $300, and then BOOM again and it ends at $361...
  10. So you have every HRN# of every issue? Whoa... That is commitment!
  11. You're welcome and no, not really an epic fail, just kinda funny in light of the conversation in another area about the posting of competitors' slabs. Carry on and please keep posting images of your amazing comics.
  12. Yes, it is still do-able. Here are the links to the 1092 and the 1095 boxes, which are still free to order on USPS.com -- -- 1092 -- 1095
  13. Cropping fail Hey, I tried ...really. It sure is a beautiful rare comic. It's just that you left enough of the competitor's label at the top to tell who slabbed it. Because I am a busybody, I cropped it a little tighter (I hope you don't mind):
  14. Cropping fail (that is, the label is visible)
  15. A $1,400 impulse buy... Smart thinkin', Joe.
  16. If I had the time, money, patience, resourcefulness, persistence, etc.... this is a set I would put together!
  17. I can't make out many -- I wonder if the owner might display a couple of closer photos? (That's just me being greedy but I wanna see 'em!)
  18. I rule! And thank you for posting the scan!
  19. Okay fine, Mr. Scarecrow: Available letters: B O E E T Y E A Spaces: _ _ _ _ N _ _ _ _ My take: TAB ONE EYE (legit words: tab, one, eye, toe, any, bee... Are there any other possible solutions?)
  20. Wonder #13, #14, and especially Wonder #15 =
  21. I agree. However, you have the option of changing the page number in the web address. This will get you to the exact page number you want. Yeah, it's a work-around and might be especially difficult on a smartphone or something, but it will do the job.
  22. I hope it all works out. If not, I hope it wasn't too expensive an item. Yeah, I guess you got ahead of yourself -- I am surprised that his address even showed up before he paid.
