  1. Not my book but I have to post this because... First, it's one of the rarest L.B. Cole teen/romance books (or so I've been told). Second, what in the ever-loving is going on with the characters on the cover? The young woman has tricked the men into chasing her around with lobsters????

  2. Do I just say "no I can't do that because Paypal requires me to ship to the listed address?

    This.

Okay, so if I get no response, do I ship it to the Paypal address?

Contact an eBay representative. They will strongly recommend you not ship to the other address. Also, because you have talked to them and told them the situation, they will have a record of what you've told them (and it is also recorded in the eBay messaging system). That way, if you ship to the correct address and the buyer leaves you negative feedback, you can contact eBay and they'll have evidence on your side that you potentially can use to have the negative feedback removed.

Wait for the buyer to respond. Tell the buyer you follow eBay policies, for your own protection. Be polite and courteous, of course. The buyer should understand and be willing to work with you, including honoring your preference for following eBay policies.

The buyer is completely at fault here. The buyer should have asked you BEFORE HITTING THE BIN if you'd be willing to ship to another address. You would have said "no," and the buyer wouldn't have hit the BIN, and there'd be no problem. It was presumptuous on the buyer's part to assume you would violate eBay policy.

  3. 0173joe -- Bought a $1400 card from me and messages me saying he'll put money in his account and will pay tomorrow, then he pays me in full anyway.

    (...)

So i told him, and it turns out he offered him close to his $4100 asking price for similar items.

He can't afford $1,400, but he can afford close to $4,100.... Maybe he's numerically dyslexic?

  4. Much obliged Sir! Great job! I tried cropping that on a phone scanner app. Figured it'd be easier than the PC. Epic fail.... :D

You're welcome and no, not really an epic fail, just kinda funny in light of the conversation in another area about the posting of competitors' slabs. Carry on and please keep posting images of your amazing comics.

  5. ...As promised RM. It's a 6.5
    Cropping fail lol
    Hey, I tried ...really. lol

It sure is a beautiful rare comic. It's just that you left enough of the competitor's label at the top to tell who slabbed it. Because I am a busybody, I cropped it a little tighter (I hope you don't mind):

  6. Here's one for your consideration guys 0173joe

Bought a $1400 card from me and messages me saying he'll put money in his account and will pay tomorrow, then he pays me in full anyway.

Within the hour he requests a cancellation and sends me this message:

    doh!

A $1,400 impulse buy... Smart thinkin', Joe.

  7. Here is number 2...I looked for number 3 but it never came out!

    Okay fine, Mr. Scarecrow:

    Available letters: B O E E T Y E A

    Spaces:

    _ _ _

    _ N _

    _ _ _

    My take:

    TAB

    ONE

    EYE

(legit words: tab, one, eye, toe, any, bee... Are there any other possible solutions?)

  8. I'm sure this does not belong here and may have been brought up before but it would make all the forums and threads better.

Why is there no "jump to" or "go to" page capability? It's maddening when there are threads with tons of pages...

I agree. However, you have the option of changing the page number in the web address. This will get you to the exact page number you want. Yeah, it's a work-around and might be especially difficult on a smartphone or something, but it will do the job.

  9. It was already delivered. I asked him if he could still retrieve the item from the other address and I'm waiting to hear back. I had the box addressed before he paid so I guess he could have changed the ebay address before he paid. He was new to ebay so who would think there would be an address change but I guess I was too ahead of myself and will have to refund. It's not a huge deal I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a scam. And if it was I was more than helpful lol. Thanks for the replies.

I hope it all works out. If not, I hope it wasn't too expensive an item. Yeah, I guess you got ahead of yourself -- I am surprised that his address even showed up before he paid.
