  1. I have been meaning to request this for awhile. A complete set of all the "Don Rosa Disney Duck Covers" comic book covers (excluding Hard Covers, Trade Paperbacks and Albums). With the massive following he has, especially outside of the USA, I was a bit surprised no one has done this yet. I have included both front and back covers. There are very few books were he only did the back cover but his 60th Anniversary run of back covers on Uncle Scrooge (372-383) are likely the second most collected covers next to his Eisner award winning Life of Scrooge covers (285-296). Thankfully most of the books came out before variant covers were popular. Most of the books are fairly strait forward but for a couple of the more confusing titles I have given a certificate number as some Disney books have similar titles. Set created on 11/11/20. I skipped a few books as they have not been graded by CGC. Thank you Donald Duck 279 (5/90,Gladstone) Donald Duck 283 (3/94,Gladstone) Donald Duck 363 (2/11,Boom Kids!) - Regular Cover Donald Duck 364 (3/11,Boom Kids!) 2. I certainly hope so. I hope it will go back to being a 30K plus book. Usagi deserves it.
  3. Both action figure versions of Star Wars 74 have been graded now. Can you add the #74 Han Solo Stormtrooper (John Tyler Christopher Exclusive). With this addition the action figure covers set will be completely up to date. Slots Created. Thank you
  4. Awesome book. 0I have never seen a 9.8 of it before. It should not be in the Eternal Warrior set though as it is from a different title - "Valiant Eras". Maybe there should be a VH1 One-shots set? That would be pretty cool and there would be enough books to populate it.
  5. Don’t make fun of this one. I recently bought a rare SDCC TMNT/Usagi that only originally came carefully packaged with an action figure. I have the figure and book (still stored with the figure) so was pleasantly surprised for the first time ever to see the book for sale alone on eBay. I purchased it so as to store it with my run of Usagi’s and was dismayed when it arrived quite damaged as the seller did not bag or board the book. I was shocked people would just mail a book without bagging and boarding it these days. What is even more shocking as this is a somewhat rare book that by virtue of getting it at SDCC is in collectors hands. Needless to say bad feedback was left, I got a refund and will never buy from that seller again.
  6. Actually with the exception of two All Star 8s and the Albedo 2 most of the rest of the books seem flattish to slightly up. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the auction goes.
  7. It seems prior to today going quite strong the past couple of years. A CGC 9.6 sold 40 days ago on eBay for 10,000 Agree. The book has been going strong. I am not sure if it was the rumors of the animation series. I think it has more to do with all the publicity of Usagi moving over to IDW along with the massive run up in TMNT books as there is a lot of crossover between TMNT fans and Usagi fans. The print run of 2,000 and the black cover mean there likely are not many copies in 9.8 out in the wild. I bought the 9.8 today and I was really hoping that it would go for quite a bit less than $31,000 like it did in its last CGC 9.8 sale. I thought there was a chance of this happening between Covid-19, my personal opinion that the $31,000 price was too strong, and there being a CGC 9.6 copy in the same auction as well. I was very happy that the previous copy sold for 36% more than what I paid for this copy. Anyways I am now 1/3 of the way to becoming a member of the club. Although I doubt I will ever gain membership as while TMNT is neat I don't see myself spending money on acquiring a 1st print and Cerebus was a great read but I only ever read the phone books, I never bought any individual issues other than "0" which I don't think was in the phonebooks.
  8. Interesting how the average price increase is +3.5% (simple average) but total different value in books is down by 60,000. Really shows how a few of the big books sold for less. I bought the Albedo 2 and am very happy I won it with my bid as it sold for $8,250 than the last sale. The drop really surprised me as the book has been pretty hot the last couple years and a 9.6 just sold on eBay 40 days ago for $10,000. There is another 9.6 on Comiclink closing in a couple days so maybe that took some demand away from the 9.8. Actually of the -60,000 almost all of it comes from lower prices on on three books - 52,500. Two copies of All Star 8 and the Albedo 2.
  9. My win tonight. One of my Grails. The last copy sold for 36% more so I was happy to get it for the price I did.
  10. It might be a while before I can provide them in CGC holders as I am still looking for them in 9.8. I have raw copies of each but they likely would grade 9.4/9.6
  11. I hate to keep being a bother about this set but the two missing covers are Hockey covers. GFT: Inferno 3 Convention Edition is the cover they did for the Toronto Maple Leafs. This is the most popular hockey team there is (although I hate them). I have attached the photo of the cover showing the lady in the Maple Leaf blue jersey holding a Hockey stick with the CN Tower and the Rogers Center in the background. I believe this one is referred to as the Fan Expo Exclusive which we have not graded and are not able to add to the set. Gretel 3 is also a Hockey cover which I have attached an example of. It has the model in Hockey skates in Philadelphia flyer covers carrying Gritty around - far and away the most famous Hockey mascot (suggest watching YouTube videos of him). Again thank you so much for making this set. Please provide certification numbers and/or images of these books in CGC holders to allow me to confirm
  12. Super happy you created this set. I cannot find it thought when searching for either Zenescope or hockey or looking under "H" or "Z". What is the set listed as? My apologies, it should be visible now under the title "Zenescope Hockey Covers."
  13. Hi Matt. I went to enter Uncle Scrooge 395 into the Uncle Scrooge (Complete) set and issues 385 to 404 (the ones produced by Boom) are missing. Issues 405 up are there. Can you please add the missing issues. Thanks Slots Created. Thank you
  14. The other 9.8 (just graded) is up on eBay for $2,495 now https://www.ebay.com/itm/PRIMO-NINTENDO-Comics-System-SNEAK-PREVIEW-NM-MT-9-8-CGC-HIGHEST-1990-Valiant/333572718887?hash=item4daa7bc127:g:Gy4AAOSwoTJekliD
  15. For Nintendo Comics System NN take a look at this thread. This is quite an expensive book. The 9.8 sold for $2,300 recently. The only other 9.8 is up on eBay right now for $2,500 The first Nintendo Comics System #1 you have pictured is the first issue in that title. It is not a hugely expensive book in 9.8. Likely $125-200 depending on the day. It had a cover price of $1.50. The second Nintendo Comics System #1 you have pictured is the first trade paperback, it is not a regular comic. It’s cover price was $9.95 but the picture is of the no-price variant. Not many of the Nintendo comics have been graded and similar to most titles far fewer tpbs than regular titles are graded. Hope this helps
  16. How would this work as CGC graded glossy and matte versions for years with out distinguishing them on the label. For example my 9.8 is a glossy version but it just says Rai 0 without any distinction on the label (and it is not that easy to distinguish them - there are a fair number of Matte Rai 0 mislabeled as Glossy. Unless you know what to look for and are inspecting the book in person it is quite hard to distinguish between the glossy paper and matte paper used for the cover). I have the third highest Rai set I would be against adding this book with this distinction. Where would all the graded books that were graded before the type of paper used for the cover was noted be slotted in?
  17. Wow. Great graphic. Fascinating. look at Wolverine the Origin go from 1st to off the chart and Spider-man 361 skyrocket up
  18. Could I please get a set created for all the Zenescope Hockey Covers So far there have been 20 Zenescope hockey covers (although as far as I can tell only 14 have been graded by CGC). Please add: 1989682003 Grimm Fairy Tales v2 #16 Variant Cover G - Boston 1358848003 Grimm Fairy Tales #120 Variant Cover E - Chicago 1446246004 Grimm Tales of Terror v2 #7 Convention Edition - Detroit 1555349010 Grimm Tales of Terror #3 Variant Cover D - Montreal 0256410011 Grimm Fairy Tales Presents Wonderland #27 Convention Edition - New York 0197583013 Neverland #3 Convention Edition - Philadephia Goalie 2055940023 Red Agent #5 3 Rivers Comicon Edition - Pittsburgh 2097603013 Robyn Hood: Outlaw #2 Variant Cover E - Washington 0301085011 Zombies vs Cheerleaders: Halloween Special #nn Variant Cover C - Zombies Please note there are 3 versions of Red Agent #5 (please add, note the 3 Rivers is included with a certificate number above) Red Agent #5 Wizard World Philadelphia Edition Red Agent #5 VIP Edition Red Agent #5 3 Rivers Comicon Edition (included with certificate number above) All 3 have been graded I have attached scans of the Wizard World and VIP edition as they are very similar. I have also attached my CGC 9.8 version I have but mine is labeled Wizard World Philadelphia Edition but it is the VIP book in the case. The covers that have been graded that I do not have copies of that should be added are: Van Helsing vs The Mummy of Amun-Ra 4 Convention Edition - Calgary Grimm Fairy Tales: Inferno 3 Convention Edition Grimm Fairy Tales vs. Wonderland 3 Pittsburgh Comicon Edition The covers that have not been graded so I do not can believe can be added are: Wonderland 39 (Canada Blue Jersey) Wonderland 39 (Canada sheer Red jersey) Tales of Terror v3 #9 (Edmonton) Salem's Daughter 4 (Calgary) Gretel #3 (Philly) Grimm Fairy Tales vs. Wonderland 3 (other Pittsburgh Comicon Edition - there were 2 different covers) Set Created. I was not able to add 2 books as our images did not show "Hockey" Covers.
  19. Thanks for adding the slots. Much appreciated. However when I go to enter my Livewire book (scan above) it says it is ineligible for the slot when it is most definitely the gold cover. I am aware of your email request and our customer service team is looking into this. Please note that your book is not labeled as the Gold Edition and therefore will not be eligible for the slot. If our experts determine that it is labeled incorrectly, we can adjust the information in our system (allowing you to enter into the gold edition slot) and provide instructions on how to submit to have it fixed free of charge
  20. Can we also add the Nintendo Sneak Peek nn to the Nintendo set. This copy just sold for $2,300 at comiclink. Slot Created. Thank you
  21. Can the Nintendo Comics (Valiant) be fixed please. The Zelda books are all messed up. This registry set lists 13 Zelda books when only 11 exist. There are 5 issues of Zelda (1990) which all have a cover price of $1.95. There is also a no-price variant for issue #1. There are 5 issues of Zelda (1991) which all have a cover price of $1.50. These could be considered second prints. To complicate matters CGC has labeled some of the #1 issues of Zelda (1990): Legend of Zelda 1 (1990,Valiant) – 85 copies Link: The Legend of Zelda 1 (1990,Valiant) – 17 copies Also there are plenty of 1990 and 1991 Valiant #1 labeled wrong (1990 books labelled as 1991 and vice versa) To further confuse things while they used the same covers on the 1990 and 1991 series the issue numbers some covers are on vary. In this post I attach scans of the 1990 series. Apologies that issue 3 is not in a CGC slab. I have included #1 slabbed as both Legend of Zelda and Link: The Legend of Zelda even though it is the same book. I have also included the no price variant. The next post will be the 5 1991 books (issues 2 and 5 are non slabbed examples) Slots updated. Our experts are updating some of the titles internally as well.

Thank you
  24. I was the buyer of this book. Valiantman is correct I am trying to put together all of the original Valiant in CGC 9.8. Besides the hero books this includes the early WWF, Nintendo, KFC, Cheesasaurus Rex and Spegehetto books. There are 52 Valiant Nintendo comics (inlcuding variant covers but excluding TPBs and HCs). I have 29 of them so far in 9.8. This is far and away the most important book in the collection and was one of my whales. My final bid was $7,000 as this fell into the category of book that I had to have at any cost. As a major Valiant fan it was important for me to have the first book they made. I already have a raw copy. One concern I had for this auction is I would set the price and then there might be a flood of this book becoming available (and remember someone bid $100 less than me). If it was a regular Marvel book from 1990 I wouldn’t have done it but I do not think there are many copies of this thin preview floating around in perfect condition. I know it was a risk to pay up for the book but I am ok with it as there may not be another copy in this grade. If more come out of the wood work and they start selling for $500 I would be ok with that too as other guys I know who want one could pick one up. I doubt that would be that case. I was also thinking about how crazy some Nintendo video games go for and didn’t want to risk early Nintendo comics falling into that group of collectors. (I would have sold this in a Heritage comic book / video game auction myself personally and I think it would have gone for more than I paid. I am not a video game collector but I did save money from my paper route to buy an original 8-bit Nintendo with Mario Bros/Duck Hunt when it came out to I have fond memories playing the original Nintendo games. I do take issue with the statement it is not rare and there are many high grade copies around. How many 1989/1990 books have more copies graded 9.0 and below than 9.2 and above. There are 20 copies of this book graded. 9.8 - 1 9.6 - 2 9.4 - 4 9.2 - 2 9.0 - 4 8.5 - 1 8.0 - 1 7.5 - 2 7.0 - 2 6.5 - 1 There are a few other Valiant fans that have been looking for a high grade copy, many of whom are very good at scouring esoteric places to find high grade copies of books to send off and grade. None of them have ever found a 9.8 of this book despite looking. Anyways I am over the moon with my purchase so am fine if others think I am crazy. This is a book going into my collection and it will not be coming out until my heirs have to deal with all my books.
