  1. Lots of nice Atlas books with that 'A' on them.
  2. Just re-read it the other night. You can get through it in an afternoon pretty easily, but you'll get lost in the illustrations.
  3. Now I know where to direct my wrath.
  4. Ted had a gorgeous copy a few years back. I hesitated and regret it frequently.
  5. I agree entirely. Just doesn't do it for me.
  6. Yeah, the Rex Dexter is the one I remember most. Great early GA stuff.
  7. This is something about modern collecting that I don't understand. In a matter of less than a week, a previously banal book will become hot out of nowhere and people will call it a "classic". I understand that tastes change, but that's generally a slow process. I think it's in part due to an influx of newer collectors without prejudice, and also the fact that so many long held classic books aren't offered, so the new money gets focused on more attainable issues.
  8. That was considered a classic long before the internet. And it's not the art that people are after.
  9. The interior on that one is fantastic. Congrats!
  10. Roughly: 8.0 $2350 6.5 $650 8.5 $1700 8.5 $1700
  11. This was on page 7 boys. Let's step it up. Here are a couple of books I was extremely excited to get. For years I've heard about how good the art in these was, and these didn't disappoint.
  12. I'm both happy and sad to see these prices. On one hand, they're dragging out some great books. On the other, those great books aren't going cheap.
  13. A book then. How about some Neal Stephenson?
  14. How about TV? Can I interest you in a nice long series?
  15. Dammit man, do you ever rest!
  16. The Combat 1 wasn't too surprising. I could even see it going a little higher. However, it's not the hardest one to find so the bidder pool may be smaller. The Battle Cry is silly, but that's flamethrower covers for you. The Combat 2 and 10 were astonishing. I was the underbidder on both. I have reasonable copies of each, so I couldn't convince myself to completely sell out, but somebody clearly had their heart set on both of them.
  17. Beautiful! Love seeing stuff like this that hasn't been out for decades. Glad you're sharing.
