  1. If you're a collector then why do you care if there might be: 450,576,784,934,1313,2200 or 5102 copies of the book?
  2. Is the 90/91 Overstreet too early for this reference lookup? It's showing 332 as $9 in NM.
  3. Wow, little early to be getting-into it, you might have a problem...
  4. I don't know what WW2 bunker you found that chair from, but it does not look made for anything but hitting guys over the head with in a wrestling ring.... You have a lot of space for stuff on the walls, some type of shelves to add something to the bare walls whether to hold comics or statues would really lively up the room!
  5. Hey, you have two of my green marvel boxes, where did you get them? I love that rustic stand, needs some comics, no?
  6. You know the seller is a participant in this thread, right? He alluded to this a few pages back....
  7. So to pinpoint - you're looking at it as an investment....do you think it's wise to base that decision on significant material gaps in data? This is the equivalent of buying equity in a company and not knowing how many classes of stock there are, let alone the number of outstanding shares that make up the capital structure....
  8. I have a question for Geeks....why do you care how many copies of a variant might be out there, we don't know how many copies of X-Men #1 are floating around....?
  9. I pack them in the same way as I would pack a lot sale of books from ebay; I bundle them all together with lots of bubble wrap and then box them. I think CGC recommends a limit of ten, and you could do that as well so you would have separated cardboard 'blocks'.
  10. That's good to know, I have a batch of moderns received by CGC last week, I'm hoping to have them back in my possession (mailed to Canada) by the end of next month. Let me know when you receive your books Bird as my timeline is similar....
  11. That's why everyone (including the impressionable Nicos) need to follow suit....he would be the online comic-equivalent nut of those religious toting people you see in major cities.
  12. This stuff is all great Chuck, so to summarize we should all put jaydog on ignore?
  13. Ya that story doesn't make much sense, just show up the day before the garbage or recycling is due and cart all his stuff to the curb. You don't even have to bring the mess home with you....Then load up the 200 Spawns into your car....
  14. How does a LCS maintain that stash for so long? Did they have any other Valiants?.....there's an example on the VF board of a member that acquired a case of Harbinger 1s.
  15. Let's just all agree that there is an endless supply of both books out there!
  16. No doubt these books are tough to find in high grade, but the question is - who cares? I have some Batman ones because I find them neat and are a part of my Batman collection, but I doubt I would pay anything for them...
  17. This is all hearsay, you don't know who the buyers are or what the intention is of every item purchased.. Unless you were involved in these auctions or have first hand knowledge, then by all means....
  18. Red Hood was talking about passing on all Valiants over $10. It's that mentality that allowed me to grab multiples of the biggest Valiant key at pennies on the dollar (just last year!!), while every other mainstream (Marvel/DC) lot run by this auction house sold better than what dealers would get at local shows. If the broader collecting public wants to ignore the spectrum of non Marvel/DC books...well.....
  19. Sooo me buying an Armorines #4 in NM shape (that say in a LCS for years for cover) is proactive or reactive? This is one example out of dozens....would it be proactive to know what a BS Plat looks like in case you stumble across one in the wild? We're not talking books that have been suddenly hot.... actually the best story was last year, I grabbed several large lots from an local online auction house that advertised over 100 comic lots. I paid less than cover for a lot that had multiple runs of Harbinger (four copies Harbinger 1), Magnus, Solar, Eternal Warrior, etc. This was last year, on comics that have been around for over two decades, some of which were always valuable (the Harbinger Pink from the lot is at CGC right now....)....
  20. Thanks! Without guys like you I wouldn't have found as many gems so cheap!
  21. Here's the discussion: you were chatting about the cold, Brock replied: "I was golfing on Vancouver Island last week. You replied: Vancouver is more expensive than Brookyn! Vancouver is not located on Vancouver Island, it's 3 hours away by Ferry. So you quoted the prices of homes on Vancouver while Brock is talking about Vancouver Island..... On ‎2‎/‎6‎/‎2019 at 5:15 PM, Brock said: I was golfing on Vancouver Island last week. Vancouver is more expensive than Brooklyn! Here's a map for reference: There's lots of places on the Island considerably more affordable than Vancouver.
  22. What? I just shipped a box to them from Canada yesterday.....I hope that doesn't get returned back?
  23. The Modern tier. It has a max value of $200.
