  3. Hey guys, this is the first of a few books I'll be selling in the next week or so. I've done a number of deals here, as well as on the VF fan board (GGSAE) as both buyer and seller. And here's my ebay feedback: Ebay No Hosers, No Probies! Payment to be received within 5 days, but I'm flexible, so PM me if you need to work something out (paypal only). I ship within three days of receiving payment, all shipping done via Canada Post. Trumps all! $125 USD - Shipped anywhere in Canada/US. International will be extra, PM me for details. X-Men #12 - 1st Juggernaut! - Solid VG- (3.0). Check all the photos, I can send scans as well. The interiors are great, no chips, tears, rips or imperfections of any kind (off-white pages). https://www.flickr.com/photos/147870101@N07/shares/7a0XJ2
  4. Maybe look for that ultra rare Batman 2nd print newsstand? 452/457?
  5. Yes, let's 0 bids must be code for it sold off ebay or something. It was re-listed with at least one active bidder. As much as I hate replying to you about anything, both links by Awefornothing show no activity whatsover. The current relisting may be nothing more than the same owner or a "presale owner". Anyway, I don't think we have to worry about anyone going anywhere near that book. (keyword = any) Are you on drugs today or something? What does it mean?? The listing is currently w one bid, if you cant figure out how to click on the relisted item to see that, youll need all the help you can get with listing items on eBay Oh and 44 watchers now Id be more interested in finding out what drugs youre doing than speculating what this will close at Haha, the best part was his 'reply' to these comments 12 hours later. I guess if you stare at a comment of 20 words long enough, the brain turns on.
  6. So, a few things....when this change of label affects the grade, it further complicates the grading criteria of all books, which should be consistent. How do we determine the 'penalty' from what the grade is other than guessing maybe the book is a 8.5? Let's say I have a regular unsigned different comic that's a 6.5, compare it to that Maxx 6.5 and wonder why the grades/conditions don't match up. Second point, the seller is clearly miss-representing buyers by stating this is the highest graded, which is totally false. If this was a Maxx Black that wasn't signed by Keith, it would be a blue label.

  9. I'm missing something- how are these ashcans coming up as blue label? Doesn't the unwitnessed signature automatically make them green labels? Seems like a change in policy on CGC's part? In my opinion that seems arbitrary and reduces credibility.
  10. Does anyone know the seller? He's advertising the book as highest in blue label, which is clearly a misrepresentation.
  11. Ya, and nothing like listing an item immediately after her death! Gotta make a few bucks when the media attention is there!
  12. He opted to take the blue label and take a lower grade than have the green qualified label... it may be highest blue label?!? Which is dumb I haven't stayed current on CGC policy, is this an option they provide now? I don't understand why they would treat each book differently, shouldn't all books be the green or blue label? To me this seems like an error on their part, no different than when they incorrectly put yellow labels on iberfor's (sp?) books.
  13. Hey guys, haven't been around...what's the deal with the blue label CGC # 2 6.5? It seems like an obvious error on CGC's part, and the seller on ebay is claiming it's the highest-graded?
  14. I don't know if 1 2nd prints can still be had cheap, I was suggesting they were undervalued when you could get them for $20 or so.
  15. So here's the thing, it was a couple ol' guys running a large antique shop. I was looking at antique trunks, which I most likely will buy, then saw the comics. These were acquired at an estate auction (along with god knows how many other items there in the shop), and for all I know the group of 1000+ could have been had for next to nothing. We agreed on a price for the trunk too, so as long as I'm not too hung-over following a country wedding next weekend, I'll probably grab it on Sunday. Also, it would be bad business on his part....if these comics went un-sold for a year, a guy young from the city scoops a big pile and is probably going to come back to spend more - do you think he's getting my money if he reneged on the sale?
  16. Cool pictures! Not sure the point of this message, where does it say in the topic photos are required? A 2-3 sentence strike-out story is good to keep all the finds in perspective.
  17. Oh ya, 3-4 years ago I found a solid Invincible #1 at an antique store.....even if you miss there's usually interesting stuff.
  18. Thanks, just goes to show that deals can still be had at antique stores. I was offered the lot by the owner pretty cheap, and there was still decent stuff in there I might go back and grab, but I cherry-picked all the best stuff..... He bought this collection at an estate auction, and the stuff was sitting in his store for almost a year, which is odd that no one went through the boxes. Maybe at one point the original owner had all the copper keys, there were store tag stickers on some of them...odd there were so many copies of SSM 64, but I'll take it!
  19. Today I visited a lead about 40 minutes outside the city and was quickly disappointed with what he had. It was just your typical junk, nothing of any value at all, however, the seller did offer a tip that an antique store with comics...(i'm thinking great, probably over-priced Disney stuff, but at least I'll go see what antiques they have since I'm in the market for a few pieces). After going to a few wrong antique shops this is what I found for $1.50 each...
  20. Cool find on the dimes. And I guess portion control wasn't something people needed to worry about back then, haha.
  21. No fading, just the way it was scanned.
