  1. Same natty green rug, floors and cardboard box. TROLL.
  2. You opened a Shill Account yesterday just to Troll people?
  3. Likely with a dripping cheeseburger in the other hand. Your logic is sound. That would certainly be very easy to read...for Reed Richards
  4. As a general rule, Never pick up, hold, or place (handle) a book by the spine side. As A GOLDEN RULE, NEVER handle a Stack of books by the spine. This is a sure-fire way to get those pesky, grade-dropping stresses and color breaks. All it takes is a single light pinch or squeeze and DINK! I know it's almost impossible to think of it every time, but train your brain. And ask your LCS retailer to please handle the books by any side but the spine. Also, carry a rigid brief tote or similar to tuck the books away in so there's no chance for disaster. Carry on.
  5. Looks like the bottom staple has pulled through a couple of the inner wraps.
  6. NOTE: this is why I posted a resignation...so Mike wouldn't be waiting for my grades (I thought it would be a courtesy). But then I kept grading, poorly, and Mike was nice enough to let me continue, I'm guessing out of pity. It's all good, I aint mad.
  7. I got out because it became painfully apparent that my grading parameters are widely disparate from CGC's , and I'm not changing so this exercise for me is a waste of time and posting grades anywhere is giving people bunk information. It is of no practical use and there is no way I'm winning any contest, rendering it an exercise in futility. So I got out. Call me Cosmo...
  8. and something going on above the 'D' in ROUND in the banner. That spot looks odd in several pics.
  9. You've probably already started getting messages with offers. Take your time, do some research and make a wise decision, whether you keep or sell.
  10. https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS895US896&q=haunt+of+fear+17&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiIx9WGt83-AhVZnGoFHVfEA7cQ0pQJegQICxAB&biw=1677&bih=831&dpr=1
  11. I'm so sorry. Did my caution arrive to late? Yes, that appears to be an old repair. Be very careful handling the book in case of other surprises. You've got a nice, valuable comic there.
  12. Possibly. The pic of the top right rear corner shows a tear or heavy crease. The pic of the spine (stapled edge) way to the left shows what appears to be the start of a spine split, a vertical separation of the front and rear covers right where they meet at the bend. The pic of the opened front cover, at the top, shows the front cover sticking straight up instead of curling over like the bottom. The pic of the opened rear cover appears to show the very tops of the pages sticking together, pulling the inside page out of alignment on the left. No matter what, do not try to separate the pages! They are fine as is. I only asked so you could get accurate info.
  13. ***HYPOTHETICALLY*** But what if it were glued? What if the cover spine was partially glued to the first wrap?
  14. Pages look 'ow-cream' to me. Has the top of the spine been mended/conserved?
  15. Sure. It just sucks bleep holes to be handed your hind quarters on a platter when you thought you had some idea of what you were doing. It's a real Homer Simpson moment. "COMEUPPANCE!!" [shakes fist at sky]
