  1. Kinda hard to argue with the box office numbers. 70% decline from last weekend to this weekend, with nothing in the theaters to challenge. The only thing keeping people away from BvS is BvS. It is STILL going to sell a whole lot of tickets. It might even make money, though most analysts say it will have to approach a billion dollar box office to do that. I think the big wigs at WB aren't happy campers.
  2. Bought a raw book, was packed well shipped fast and exactly as described. No worries whatsoever.
  3. Hey Matt, If you have time to work on these again, I'm happy to send you a deposit to move onto the "todo" list. Just let me know. Currently, I'm on the reserved list with "All American Comics 61". Michael
  4. I'm now in this club with my 7.0 copy coming back from Sarasota. Hadn't even noticed that my copy was a Mark Jewelers copy... Does this make any difference value-wise? I paged through the whole thread and didn't notice another copy that was this variant.
  5. Moderns? If so about 2 weeks then 2 days for qc before shipping No. Value and Economy. Different? No sure...I would think maybe a little bit since they are slightly longer tier times, but I can't comment directly cause I don't track those as closely sorry No worries. I appreciate the input.

  7. Anyone have a rough idea how long books are averaging sitting in "Graded" these days before hitting shipped safe for slow track?
  8. well that one reminds me of ASM 16 and to a lesser extent ASM 10 Like this one too... The ASM 16 anyway, HATE the STA2
  9. I have always seen floating head covers of any size as lazy bad art. I really like this one.
  10. Interesting to see this. I actually wasn't a huge fan of Jessica Jones, but thought Colter's portrayal of Cage was the high point.
  11. I watched it all. I'm not as excited about it after watching DD start to finish. I think it's okay, but not great. In my mind it's not as good as Flash or Gotham. And it's waaaaay behind DD. The best part of JJ were the supporting characters, I liked Luke Cage, Patsy Walker, Kilgrave and even Will, a lot more than I liked Jessica. I dunno if I'm just not a fan of her as an actress or they wrote her to be so completely unsympathetic. If they make a second season, I'll probably watch. If they don't, I'm okay with it.
  12. Showcase 4. I've owned one copy in my life and sold it after having it for roughly 3 months. It was low-grade and figured I could always find a better copy. Yeah, not gonna happen.
  13. Made an epic trade deal with Roger. Where a mega-key, couple of major keys and cash traded hands. Everything went off without a hitch. Roger is polite, honest, fair and knows his stuff. As good as it gets. Hope to do business with again.
  14. No, you're just tacking on to the other nomination. Thus he will have to make both you and the nominator whole before he gets off. After CKK's 72 hours run out, just post your info too and it will be added. Ok i will add info next sunday . Just letting you know that "peterpark" finally paid me 27 days after commiting to buy , i will ship his book tomorrow So basically, you added him to PL 30 minutes ago and he suddenly realized that he had a purchase to pay for. What a great buyer. Glad you you got your money though. Did he give any excuse on why he didn't pay until you made the post earlier today? No , my comunication with him is just a monologue And oddly enough, he seems eager to sell me the books I was promised over a month ago. At this point, I'm hesitant to send him money. Thoughts? He is a well known variant collector, I have had many dealings with him buying and selling without a hitch. I hope this works out for everyone. I've given him an opportunity to make it right, he has agreed to it. So this hopefully brings this to a close. If not, "I'll be back".
  15. Seems fair. I've responded as you suggested. Thanks, Dave.

  17. I did PM him, but not 72 hours ago. I'll wait till the time has elapsed, not that I think it will matter in the slightest. Premature eNomination, CKK. Happens to the best of us. Next time just think about baseball or Rosie O'Donnell. That will do it.
  18. I was going to nominate him next week That's right. You sold something to him that he reneged on, right?

  20. Nominating "peterpark" for the Probie list. Purchased as couple books from him on 9/26. Reminded him and requested an invoice on 10/1: Hi, I took some books in your thread about a week ago and I don't believe you've been on since then. Just wanted to make sure the thread was still active or whether I should disregard. Thanks, Michael His response on 10/5: Still active \ I just need to tally and send the request... Coming soon Pinged him again on 10/15 and he didn't bother responding. I know others have had similar issues, but not speaking for them. This was after I had completed a successful transaction for 200 bucks with this same seller, so I'm stymied by what went wrong. Regardless, I think it's a good idea to get him on the list so others don't have the same experience.
  21. Geez, the more I'm here, the less I feel like I know. I had no idea that some of these whitmans were sought after.
  22. Yep. And my stars have not aligned since I whined about it on here. And NO ONE is stepping forward to lend a hand. If I was younger and some random guy said.....hey you wanna see every Marvel made in a 21 year span and organize it......I would be running people over in my car getting to this guys house. You totally need JerseyComicBoy. (Now MagnetoWasRight) But of course he's not in Jersey anymore. Jamie loves stuff like this.
  23. Bought a couple raw books from him. Grading was consistent and accurate. Would buy from again.
  24. Really? I'm seeing lower prices on most mid-lower grade books. What are you seeing heating up since the spring? The keys/1st apps/hot covers are up, most commons are flat or down. Just like most other years, I guess. The thing is the "key" pool is ever expanding...
