I focus on one character...about 15 years ago I randomly bought a piece, just to have an example...I wasn't really interested in collecting oa...over the next 10 years I picked up an example here and there, just to have...no rhyme or reason, just occasionally would buy a piece... then a hurricane financially forced me to sell my comic collection in 2018/19...but as a 50 year "comic collector", it was part of my nature to want to collect...but no way I was going to try to re piece back a comic collection...so covid hit in 2020 and I started seriously focused on buying OA (new venture)...I bought everything I could...any piece offered to me with my favorite character, I bought it... didn't really consider cost, or content...I just figured "its one of kind, don't pass"...then, after a couple of years, last year I looked at many of the pieces I had purchased and it dawned on me, "why" ...the content wasn't great on some...the art wasnt great on some....the price certainlly wasn't great on some....so I changed directions  and now Im "focused" on pieces that I find to be more substantial or even "epic" in some nature... collecting is a progression...you will find your path as we all seem to

never seen it?...earliest surfer cover I know is beschara and ff 72...fishler has 74, and clink auctioned 77  about 10 years ago...Ive not seen 75....never seen SS 2 or 3 cover...1,4 up seem to have been out there

the owner of SS 4 cover is known to many...I believe all SS from 68 on, exists and is out there...just wonder about ff 48-50...seems maybe 49 & 50 exist, but never seen a page from them offered or existing?

was just sitting in my massage chair, wondering about life, and I got to thinking...what is the first or earliest known example of Silver Surfer art...I know pages from issue 55 of FF exist...but are there any earlier known?

I really wanted an original series (silver surfer 1-18) Surfer splash page...was so close in may of 23, but didn't materialize...so, that's my only goal for 2024...tall wish

I feel the same way, bought more, sold none...2024 I believe I will sell some pages that I bought that I wasn't as discerning as I should have been, and buy pages that I feel offer some "pop" or epic value in nature (guess I will know it , if/when I see it)

its the only non surfer page I believe I've really been keen on, but like you, I wasn't prepared to pay that much

I like simple mylar , matting and Boards. Quality , archival and not horrifically expensive
