  1. High grade, white pages, coded Okajima pedigree, plus it's a Timely. I'd say you hit that one out of the park! Congrats geek!
  2. I agree, as we are not in the marketplace and selling them, that’s why I said "let’s see what the moderators think". not only are they not being sold, they are not even being discussed. the only thing I see is a golden age book that is proudly being exhibited by its owner. It is a cgc paid for chat board. We should still show our hosts the courtesy of not posting a competitors label regardless. Simple crop works (thumbs u
  3. the mile high copy of more fun 65 last month
  4. I regret not buying this copy from Metro last year. the bunkys bought this book off the boards more than a year ago
  5. I would have gone with Baylor over osu but osu is right there. So as right as could be expected. Gators bball is exactly what Donovan said it would be.
  6. I made a little post. Of course white page generally receives a premium if that is a quality that can differentiate one book from another ....now, with a rare golden age book, rarity is generally the driving force in price relative to existing demand... On a common bronze book where a collector is looking to differentiate his/her 9.8 from someone else's, white pq would trump ow and I'm sure would command a small premium over the ow.
  7. And you still haven't found me one I just replaced one for me after I sold 2 in oct
  8. Recent heritage sale was outlier in my opinion. 4-5k a point is fair but recently 2 other copies have gone for less privately
  9. Ducks might win it all. Florida still owns or though hehe
  10. If I have in inv the books you want
  11. Rumor is Baylor jumps. But it's anyone's guess thanks dude they certainly did everything they could to make a case (thumbs u time will tell!! I think they get in We will know tonight. Listening to the "experts", Baylor winning their conf champ and having beaten tcu, some think they will replace/jump. Maybe osu made a case?
  12. Rumor is Baylor jumps. But it's anyone's guess
  13. Buy the book, not the number. Any marvel chipping on a 7.5, slight or not, will dramatically (in most instances) affect price. We've all seen huge price swings for same graded comics/same company. Again, not Nec the company but the book itself
  14. to flower heaven. But they'll be back
  15. IMHO, movies ensure that the next generation of comic book collectors in the future (20 - 30 years) will drive prices higher. In other words, a 12 year old kid may see the movie as an entree into the genre and one day own a key twenty-five years from now at an unfathomed higher price. Anecdotally, it was the GA reprints such as the 1974 issue of Detective Comics . . . that spur my interest in collecting GA Comics as an adult. Possibly. No one knows the future. But as far as affecting prices today....no
  16. This is OT, but I wonder what the effect of CLInk's not reporting is on the prices in their auctions. One school of thought argues that nonreporting supports prices. The thinking, as I understand it is that dealers like the nonreporting because it conceals the size of their markup from most potential buyers when they subsequently relist the book. So, if a book looks likely to close well below FMV, there is a good chance a couple of dealers will bid it up at least a bit. No idea whether that view reflects reality. seems like a lot of clink sales stay on their site "pending" for a nice length of time...a little sleuthing (or bidding history) serves as a great tool
  17. he's just very enthusiastic... no harm (thumbs u Enthusiastic, me? Never! I agree with Rick to the extent that 1) the Joker doesn't need a movie to make his character known to the world and 2) people with Batman #1-level budgets are likely already interested in the book pre-movie. Of course, we still have to wait and see if Leto's interpretation of the character is a successful one. I'm optimistic on that front. What I can say, as both a GA collector and as a Joker fan, is that this makes me "more" excited about a character that I already loved. I'm more excited about Batman #1 knowing that a fresh, potentially thrilling interpretation of the character may be immortalized in film. So while it's by no means a primary motivation to love Batman #1, it is an additional factor that makes me more excited about the character and his earliest GA origins. (thumbs u That's cool. You might be in the minority in with your level of analysis. Most folks just hope a superhero movie doesn't suck
  18. the 7.5 cbcs under performed due to the MC...had it of been a clean edge, I would have bid much higher (as would have many)... had nothing to do with "which" company graded it, but rather the eye appeal (imo)...I realize the same retail for both companies as long as comparable pq and eye appeal
