Movies can certainly bring new interest to a character but I don't believe the masses are suddenly compelled to spend 5 figs on a golden age book. There is plenty of source material available online for free, or 2-3 fig more recent books if they want to procure or speculate. I believe the increase in awareness hits existing collectors that often times have overlooked a particular issue and ignites new demand. As we know it doesn't take much new demand relative to low supply to have a dramatic upward price pressure

Given 2 same books in identical grades, I would hazard a guess that 99/100 times the pedigree copy would be chosen. Whatever that increase in demand is relative to supply will translate into a higher price. Which pedigree, which issue, what condition, what demand ,etc as well as a myriad of others, are all factors and thus it is virtually impossible to apply a single formula that would hold true

I believe it absolutely is more desirable in most every case but I never seen a consistent % value increase.

The hardest ones are the ones that are no longer recognized....Sherwood only has 4 examples, there's a sa that I believe only has a couple of ga books slabbed. Parker (straw-man) I believe is complete with ga ...I tried till I realized a couple (like Sherwood) would be next to impossible.
