  1. Famed Walt Kelly golden age comic book character from which the Florida mascot got his name, of course. I'm sure someone around here collects Gators. I tried to point this out to the GSMB (gator sports message board) some time back, about the Albert name, but was opposed by a 100 differenct origin explainations, but I sure like it being Kelly/comic related
  2. It is early in the or vs USC game but no doubt in my mind or and aub are 2 best teams right now
  3. do you really have to ask? I think he's only laughing so far ... I think he looks like this right now definitely had some concern
  4. do you really have to ask? I think he's only laughing so far ... was a good game
  5. do you really have to ask? apparently
  6. without question I put my money where my mouth is on Batman 47...have bought and sold dozens of copies over the past few years...one of my "top ten" books period! (as far as demand and supply go)... 53 is a soft 2nd, as the cover art is not all that appealing, but the origin story is cool... 76 used to be "the" one, but has fallen out of lust of late... action comics 101 is ok, cool cover, demand in high grade, but not so much in low grade (strictly a cover comic)... so, you pretty much have the order correct (thumbs u
  7. if you have 60 seconds, this is the link for you
  8. 65 is higher demand due to origin of SM retold, but it is also much more readily available because of that (thumbs u 65 also has a brief recap of Robin's origin. true, true (thumbs u but majority of non WF demand comes from the supes origin
  9. sorry, not sure how I missed that...I now typically refrain from commenting on books I have personal interest in, so as not to tip my hat here is a generic answer, I have shared before...typically, an action 7 is about 10K a point...what does that mean, I expect a 2.0 to sell for 20K, a 5.0 for 50K...this only applies to 6.0 and under...higher/scarce, the multiple expands (20K a point, etc)... brittle pages will "hurt" this book imo, but won't stop it from reaching a nice percentage of my per point est Brittle pages don't turn you off of a book? there are exceptions to every rule

  13. all the issues in the 60's are "tough", followed by the 50's, and lastly the 70's... in fact, there are really no "tough" issues in the 70's, as long as you are not condition sensitive...I see every issue come up for sale multiple times in a year... now, I limited myself to only completely unrestored copies ... for me, it was issue 67...took me 5 years to find one (I found one with replaced staples, so it was a green label)...didn't see a single unrestored copy in the market... then, as fate would have it, after I paid OUT THE NOSE for a copy (in an auction, against someone else that obviously hadn't seen one in forever), I have since seen 4 copies available in the last year... 61 has traditionally been tough (maybe 2nd toughest)...
  14. tec 27 is my personal favorite... but need more info...I would recommend whichever the person liked more (supes vs bats)... but, generically, I believe grade for grade, the better investment...action 1
  15. then start dribbling! you mean "i'll take it back" on the 2, don't you? if I take 1, I take them all (and you got more than just the 2 from me ) bwaaawaaaaa
