  1. probably...I know I sold a 5.0 for $1500 at SDCC and I heard the guy I sold it to flipped it for 1750...it was cgc...
  2. I have a little wonder 1 and wonder 2 action going on....I consulted with parker, and we decided that cooties were not his thing
  3. Could you scan the centerfold please? soon
  4. Richard, make no mistake about it. $10 grand is an OVERBID hoping anyone would sell a 7.5 at that price. It is not worth $10 grand. Anyone that pays that is purely speculating a price increase or just LOVES Green Lantern. And I do. pm responded to I think what Rick is saying is his 7.5 is about to change hands...or should I say my 7.5 ? peewee is a more serious SC 22 collector than I am...stay tuned for developments

  6. You are quite welcome (I'm not a "guy" though). I can confirm that sky is indeed a member of the "non" guy club, but in the loosest of terms, she is one of the "guys" (generically applied!) and we are happy to have her!
  7. Nice Roy. DizzyFox's old copy? It is. He tried to convince me that it was stunning in hand....it is. It looks every bit of a VF when held in hand. Love it. tis true, not all 5.0's are created equal
  8. Jus....jus......JUST GORGEOUS !! (Probably the best all round copy). Has superior PQ...not have the cream pages that it always has. . I think the 9.0 with OW pages and perfect centering is the best all round copy, but Rick's copy is definitely a gorgeous one as well. I agree...I would take a 9.0 with ow over a 7.5 with ow/w most every day of the week... that said, having owned about 10 copies in the past 3 months, and having chased a 8.0 that, quite honestly is NOT as nice looking as this copy, makes me VERY happy
  9. Great looking book, Rick! (thumbs u
  10. Wow. Easily one of the best Timely books! Great pick up. I want one I had 2 cgc 5.0's but just sold my spare one this morning the other I am keeping in my collection
  11. here is my one pick up from chicago
  12. Scanner working? is indeed, just not a priority right now, but soon
  13. GPA record price for a 6.0 is $3,250, so I'd say your copy is worth at least that. Don't think I've ever seen a copy with white pages, actually. would sell for $3500 + (thumbs u
  14. Wonderful 6.0 And white pages ...nicely done
  15. Quite possibly true...but from recent experience sc22 seems to always have cr/ow paper...at least it appears that way to me...so maybe this book is the exception
  16. A missing piece does not affect (generally) the color or overall quality of interior paper...but creasing through interior pages that is subsequently pressed out can be reflected in the pq designation
  17. I get what you're trying to say, and I remember a discussion just recently about this. Do you really think that's the case (apart from "brittle")? Some creases and bends in the paper reflect in the PQ assigned? I always assumed that it's deducted from the numeric grade. A book with a piece missing out of a white pager would take a PQ hit, instead of a grade hit? That doesn't make sense. Probably worded my intial post poorly. I agree that PQ should have some weight to it. Just not near as much as everyone thinks (when it comes to slabbed books), because it's all over the map. page quality is a combination of visual and structural quality...a. Missing piece would be reflected in the grade but not the quality
