Superman thread show us yours

stud....my supes collection was all 3.0, and here ricky is with a ton of stunners! -
in my former sales threads, I specify that first via PM or thread "gets the book"... there are some that don't want to publicly post, because they want to keep their collecting private, etc... a few months ago, I had a situation where I got a PM take it, before a take in in the thread, and we all know it takes time sometimes, to form responses, go back into the thread and mark sold, etc... luckily, my situation ended well for both parties and me, but I can see this from both perspectives... so, until hockeyandcomics responds, (and this is nothing against penny), we have only heard one side... and of course, I have no idea what side is right, till all the facts are laid out?

lots of great books

Which may say something more about the quality of the grading standard than the quality of the book... quite possibly true...
-
sharon also got my first #2...a real nice looking VG if I recall (I upgraded later to a not as nice vg/fn that was more expensive)...funny how sometimes books look better than the grade... now, did anyone see the HG # 7 on heritage... I lost it by 2 bids (too rich for my blood) and I saw that bedrock had a low grade #7 they sold... I have a vg raw right now, and Sharon got my nice copy, so maybe we can do a little trade
-
The bedrock copy is so low grade it makes that look like a 9.6. I've had 3, the first one had no cover AND someone actually shot it with a gun...probably a bb gun, I hope... So, your's CAN't possible be worse than that;) I do own the Gator copy now;) Mine does have a cover. Water stained, ripped up and loose...but a cover. Refresh my memory on this "Gator" pedigree. Probably one of my favorite books, although my scanner does not do slabs well (and since I don't have that many, it usually doesn't matter;) If you ever sell that one Sharon I want first dibs!! That's a beauty! sorry...I have a clause with sharon that any book that goes from me to her (directly or indirectly) I get first shot back at [/quote Rick, how long did it take you to find the #7? That is a beaut!!! I need a 4 & 6 I got lucky... picked up the 7,8.9 and 10 from one ebay seller... they had a great #6 I was going to win too, but they ended the auction 3 hours earlier than listed, so I lost out... I have the Mile High of #4 (has slight resto) and the 6 is just a bear (mine is like a 1.8!)

I would love to compare your autograph now to those from your high school years. still identical... but, the hand writing class I took (admittedly, was years ago), details certain characteristics that you learn or use early on, that don't change, even during maturation... Gator if I put up a scan of my two sigs (early and late) you'd never know they were linked. no doubt I might not, but you would be suprised just how related they actually are... again, it has been 20 years since I took the class, but I remember the Instructor did just such and experiment and was 100% correct each and every time (if the 2 were from the same, etc)... W is one of the key letters...

Awesome books! indeed... AS is still a great run to put together and luckily, doesn't get a lot of love these days, so you can do it cheaper!

if the "hang tough" is a real D ick Winters sig, then unfortunately, the one on the comics was NOT made by the same person...basic handwriting analysis will confirm that...sorry to say

wow, given what zaid just paid for the 5.5 sb restored copy, that MPWF is a BARGAIN!
-
was that the bedrock copy?

I couldn't agree more... I also here you get discounts at grocery stores the higher your post count is... prostitutes treat you with more respect if you have a "big" number under your post count... the President will allow you to date one of their daughters if you have the highest post count (good news for greggy)... and banks will pay you higher divedends too (Thumbs u

I love P. gustavson!

I'm doubtful it's Everett but suspect it's swiped from Everett or inked by other than Everett. maybe that is why it doesn't hold a huge appeal for me

Show me your Timely's and I'll show you mine. Have a Cigar...

but, didn't you tell me you would include a little snippet about my good looks too I think "strikingly handsome" were the whispers I heard on the convention floor Jim -
I debated stopping at 10 with the BE's, but since 11 is the last of his 7 issue cover stint, I figured "what the heck"
-
hey, look what i got gator! Best cover in the run next to # 11 IMHO!!! Congrats!! Billy! Bought mine off of Harley many moons ago, what a great cover and book!! wow, I thought the 11 was the weakest BE cover of them versus

just so you know, I dropped out at $10K on it...I never thought that would go for $20 -
I wonder how many times folks will keep bringing up this "no sale" not direct at you ECE, but does anyone truly believe those 2 superman comics sold at those prices???
