  1. dude, this is too low grade for you, go ahead and send it on over to me
  2. I think this is the BEST later Sensation cover! it is cool, but the lack of WW after issue 106 is the reason I put that as my cut off...but after seeing this one
  3. Oh boy, "what time did the Golden Age end" reprise. Tiny Tessie is October 1949. The Marvel circle on the cover was very short-lived. If it's on a borderline, it's probably Timely/Atlas rather than Timely/Marvel. Some people think that Timely ended with Captain America Comics #75 (Feb. 1950) or else Marvel Mystery Comics #92 and Sub-Mariner Comics #32 (June 1949). The Atlas globe (really more of a distributor's logo) started Nov. 1951. What do you think? (both you and Bob B) Jack How would Gator know? He hadn't even held a Timely until six months ago....... 10 months ago, thank you! and my question was serious...since I am collecting "Timely's", I want the distinction of knowing "when" the Marvel wording came into prominent use...as I have decided not to collect Atlas "Marvels", etc...
  4. we were all busy watching Tebow win the Heisman! gator
  5. Awesome pic. (thumbs u He is so cute, what a heartbreaker he's going to be...oh and nice book, too! thanks...luckily the little dude is mine, unfortunately the comic is not (just fortunate to have submitted through my cgc account)...I shipped the comic book to its owner yesterday, but little dude wanted a picture with superman before we "took it to the post office"! gator
  6. So funny you posted these! I was just searching all the dealer site looking at HT's this morning If I start collecting Timley's this will be the first run I got after Nice books Rick! well, as some know, after I finish the last few runs I have been working on, I am "done" with run building (I am still a completionist at heart, just don't have the resources)...but, there are so many great GA books out there, that it can be really tough to have to choose...for HT, I think I have choosen "ok" gator
  7. my little dude has about 4 "best" friends at his school, all of them seem to be seeing who can let their hair grow the longest (interesting, for a newly turned 5 year old!)... he will tell you "I can't drop this comic book, as it is really fragile", but as far as value, they are the same as his funny stuff's to him! gator
  8. Great stories in all these. The Shock 13 has Frazetta's only solo story. The VOH 27 has a very nice Evans story that will make you look at a single cell quite differently in the future. Nice copies all. Scott Scott thanks for the info. I might crack that VOH out and read up on it! -CC I think I would want to crack and read too! gator
  9. shouldn't he be wearing purple and gold in a conference unity sort of way? maybe after tonight's heisman presentation!
