  1. I actually already have 2 lower grade copies...one from skypinkblu with a little glitter addition and one that is just slightly worse than this one, so, this would have actually been an upgrade.. Now, Rick, I hope you realize I do not put glitter on EVERYONE's comics, you REALLY have to be special...

  3. These books are just plain incredible. It is amazing seeing Batman's and Superman's from this time period in such high grade. They are so hard to find! I agree...I need to yell at Zaid some more for passing on this one gator
  4. WOW $225 was the end price! Tough book. yep...I had my snipe set at 225.59...someone else had their snipe set at 225.99 so, I lost by .40...what is the probability that 2 snipes would be set that close
  5. I believe that qualifies for the group shot of the year! (sorry BZ) there are MANY books in there I would love to own, especially the KDF 20! gator
  6. nice Ryan...know you have been wanting one forever! gator
  7. agreed...biro's early centaur work is very distinctive....and while it is not everett or gustavson, etc, it has its charm
  8. that's what this hobby needs to be about, making us happy! congrats
  9. fair enough...I likely would have done the same thing...bought them, keep the books I wanted, and part with the rest...I just misunderstood the intention of the purchase, so I had to ask... rick
  10. No time to scan. 4 kids and soccer season ( 80 games between Labor Day and Thanksgiving ) New Years Resolution to scan all of my CGC books. It should take me most of next year to finish but I am going to give it a shot. we will be looking forward to it!
  11. cool...I guess the bigger question is, it was my understanding you bought this collection to resell, correct?...if so, when might you begin to offer? rick

  14. I understand the gist of your post and agree to some extent, but I think your analogy quoted above is greatly exaggerated. Remember this is NOT eBay or CNN.com...it's an obscure message board that serves a very tiny niche community. I'd say a better analogy (as opposed to screaming your personal info. out your window magnified 10x) would be perhaps whispering your personal info. out your window during a heavy rainstorm. I'm all about safety and security, but it wouldn't bother me at all to post a picture of my kids here. I totally respect your concern and warning, but it's not like people are posting their ATM codes or pictures of their family in suggestive poses with addresses and phone numbers! good points on all... some folks "need" the boards compassion, etc, so they post personal items...better for them ,and if it benefits them, fantastic.. my family accompanies me to conventions, etc...so, there to, I have no problem posting a picture of my son with a comic.... if folks want to know what you or me look like, easily enough found out...and comics are insured, etc, so I have zero fear of posting them...I like to share with those out there... for me, it is a glass half full versus a glass half empty approach, but I support each person/members right to choose what is best for them rick
