  1. he's right; it's the one third from the left, third row from the bottom. the cosmic aeroplane now flies in that spot [thanks Jimmy]. you know, in order for me to do a complete shot, it will require me taking it from billy's library loft...so, since he has already done it, I guess he saved me the trouble!
  2. i want them all!!!!!!!!!!!! you know, so do I....
  3. Great to see that one again , Rick! FANTASTIC MARVEL group shot too!! When will we see the money shot with #1 in the mix?? Those are both THE sets to die for! I am going to do a complete MMC shot as soon as a couple get back from cgc... thanks!

  6. and my friend steve will be contributing a wonderful new timely to the family shortly...so, thank "you"!
  7. You've got a great collection, Rick. How about a real challenge for 2008? 4-Color 1-1350 by the end of the year? thanks... 4 color would be fun, but I will just live vicariously through you (when can we see that group shot!!)
  8. let this be a lesson to those that think an old dog can't learn new tricks. the most boring d.c. collection you ever saw in February, and now near complete runs of MM and Cap. my man. and the primary influence was who? let it be known, my first Timely purchase was one of Parker's "throw aways" (I Think it was like a VF MMC #74
  9. here is one evolution (I believe at least 4 of the books pictured now reside in other board members' collections)
  10. here is my thanksgiving day contribution...
  11. That's a great page...and makes me want to track the story down! PS.... About to head to the airport...visiting family in North Carolina. Happy Thanksgiving, all! (thumbs u
  12. The only other one I've ever seen since I started collecting the Gerber cover covers in 2003/2004 was on eBay with a detached cover and amateur resto as I recall and it still went for something like $200. It's like the Rocket 3 where I've only seen one other and it was in worse shape (a Rocket 3 on eBay in Poor sold for more than I could pay at the time). I always like an excuse to show this book off. Picked it up a long time ago and feel very fortunate to have it. Ken nice gator
  13. Neither could Mr. Bedrock.... I am selling off my collection of moderns Let's pretend I could afford that Marvel Mystery of yours. What is the asking price for it? Shawn it says 10Cents on the cover I suspect mr bedrock will not be revealing costs on a killer book like that (just for privacy reasons), but if you know chicago's and you know high grade MMC, it is heavy 5 figure book easy not if you have photos of the seller in a compromising situation
  14. I'm afraid you got me there. This is the only one I have from 1-10. it's a good one to have.....I saw this posted in the grail thread, so I thought you might have 1-10....but, 1 will do nicely rick
