    I viewed the book raw in chicago....the pages are "brittling" (is that a word)...but, they were supple enough to handle carefully...the edges and spine (lower, if I remember) will potentially become a big concern, as you can't make the pages "better" without some sort of restorative procedure. I considered buying the book (harley had it priced about 2x north of the estimates 1koko and DK quoted, but I am sure there was some room to push it down...I am guessing $6K retail?)...I am not sure what fish paid, the price was very attractive, but like many, I try to avoid brittle pages my advice would be to restore/conserve this copy (try to hydrate the paper, if possible) and clean up the cover a little...won't really affect it's value, but will likely increase longevity of the book rick

    believe it or not, in some circles, folks don't value them equally (crazy, I know)... gator I have always valued a good Poot! So relaxing and cleansing! (thumbs u Attaboy Schommy! Parker got to bask in the "ambience" of my company this past weekend. Ahhhhh......basking in the ambience...... i do recall basting in it a time or two. and ASKING, no, that's not quite right, BEGGING you to withhold your 'ambience' around my books. white pages to tan in 5 mins? with bill...more like 2 minutes flat! gator Thats.....well..its just not right man!     i think it's sweet that you were patient and waited to pull the trigger until you could get a Louisiana copy--and the same week we hit #1 in the a.p. you go, girl. I would very much like to talk trash right now, but we lost so I will just sulk off into the distance. Go Gators!
