  1. hello all... I saw the book in Chicago....I believe the brittle pages cgc noted were the reason for the return (we would have to ask primetime, but that is what harley told me), and it got a "lower" number grade due to that...harley sold it for an attractive price (or in chicago was asking a very fair price) and if I had not already had a copy, I might have bought! It is unrestored, and after all, that is a rarity in its own right! rick

  5. I am not too active in either now. I pick up GA with some runs I am looking to finish off (like Super Mystery and Four Favorites-- one in each) or a 'neat' cover or the periodic need to feed my Larson addiction. I pick up GA OA on occassion. To me it is great stuff and relatively inexpensive compared to SA art. I am at the point that if someone said "Hey Jon, you cannot buy anything else, I would be just fine". Presently, I am perfectly content sharing info on the books and sharing the books. Jon and we certainly appreciate it....gator
  6. 2 What more can a person say but that is just friggin unreal! Do you still have all these treasures? Dennis I believe he does because if he ever put the "for sale" sign up there would be a frenzy like nothing we have seen in years. (all of it!)
  7. just remember who I offered the book first, too gator
  8. That is a great looking Tec#1. Great purchase That's a great looking copy. Any restoration? Thanks George and Whet! Extensive resto but none of its on the cover (except for a small tear seal), almost all on the spine! Congrats;on a true beauty!!!! If I had a book like that I wouldn't be able to sleep for days just admiring the cover. As far as restoration is concerned I agree that having restoration on a book like this is prudent and worthwhile. Geez, why doesn't anyone sell off some nice high grade Submariners..... Or, maybe they do, and I just don't know the secret handshake to the Big Boys Club.... JTM...if I collected subby, you would be right behind ciorac in the offer dept, but, alas, I don't gator
