  1. I'm waiting for an offer of $850,000 for my AA 16. set up in SD and folks will walk up to you with briefcases full of cash (or so I am told)! gator
  2. hello all... for anyone that wants to view some killer group shots of 90% of the Centaur publisher, keep your eyes peeled to the Stroll down Centaurman lane thread I just started here in the Gold section...will be a few days till I get to the "good" stuff, but trust me, it will be worth the nominal price of admission alone... gator
  3. nice indeed scrooge. remember the doublemint gum commerical from way back? here are "three runs, three runs, three runs in one!" just closed two of them in c'town; literally from A to Z. Cool runs! You are definately a man with eclectic tastes. (thumbs u indeed he is! gator
  4. suuuurrrreeeee you did............. "Ack!" and "Thbbbt!" and, I found a GiC 9 in chicago, but passed because you had it (it was only a g/vg but I saw one!) gator I actually have two GI Combat #9's now, right after I got the GD copy I found a VG+ copy not two days later, so I bought that one too. Weird. I did the same thing with Whiz 17...went over a year, didn't see a one, found one, pounced on it, next week another one shows up, pounced on it, now a 3rd copy on ebay, pounced on it!...crazy, huh! how these things run in cycles... I am waiting on BZ to open up some of his runs, and then I will pounce too gator
  5. I see you have the glossinator all fired up again. Very nice! makes my deglossed vg/fns look "sad"...but, I do appreciate the gloss...did I ever tell you all that sacentaur is a codename for glossinator? gator
  6. sacentaur has won two of the last four quizzes. He joins Scrooge, selegue and Theagenes in having been the winner on two or more occasions those 4 are quite knowledgable, no doubt...I know a little bit about DC's, but that is where I would draw my "knowledge" at! gator
  7. suuuurrrreeeee you did............. "Ack!" and "Thbbbt!" and, I found a GiC 9 in chicago, but passed because you had it (it was only a g/vg but I saw one!) gator
  8. Better luck next time, Rick. With your great collection, you probably have more knowledge about the subject than most. only reason I knew it, was I was just working on my MM little run of centaurs!...I knew when I saw it that STEVE had it! thanks rick
  9. ugh, one I knew , but I just logged on....ugh! rick

  15. yep, I love schwab as well!....it is a shame I waited so long to really enjoy the superb work that was right there under my nose! so happy I have really seen an Aman 26....thanks for sharing!... gator
  16. nice indeed scrooge. remember the doublemint gum commerical from way back? here are "three runs, three runs, three runs in one!" just closed two of them in c'town; literally from A to Z. you all have to remember, that a 5 book run is about as high as LSU grads can generally count...2 book runs are a little easier, but still occasionally offer a challenge! gator
  17. I find that distinctiveness between the Biro animal covers and the Ryan animal covers to be wonderful...Win pointed this out to me, and the almost humanesque Ryan work is such a nice change of pace from the Biro covers, but my fav is Gustavson (that same "hair" flyback trademark is what I look for) rick
  18. the contrast from Atomic 1's cover, to the other issues is uncanny
  19. I am not sure of the Tech grade, but 9.4 would not be out of the question, with very slight professional...might be moderate as the book was cleaned. Basically has some spine work and other then cleaning/pressing nadda, nothing, zip...so from the spine over all origional. You really cant tell any resto, its very good work. top notch. Paul "I oviously passed on it..it is overgraded...probably more like a 1.5 , the resto job looks horrible (it was obviously a frankenbook!!), only a bafoon would pay $2 for that POS...." at least that is what I am telling myself for NOT buying it!!!! great, great looking book, congrats paul! gator "bafoon." for all of you confused by this, be aware that he speaks of a cross between a baboon and a buffoon, seen only in florida and which species historically has comprised just about 92% of gainesville grads. I believe there was one spotted behind my table in Chicago. Had a goofy grin on its face. "Ack!" and "Thbbbt!"
  20. JB.... I would humbly offer my services to group shot photo your centaurs for you I had a WONDERFUL time at Win's last week, and can only imagine an equally fun time should you ever want something like that done... gator (figured it can't hurt to ask!)
