  1. Share Your Short Stuff - Digests, Half-sized, and Other Smaller Than Normal Golden Age Comics Good things come in small packages! There are many comic books that are smaller than standard Golden Age comic books. Since they come in odd sizes, many of these were not kept and stored, and are now rare. Post your digests, half-size, quarter-sized, and other smaller than normal Golden Age comic books!
  2. Great copies of some outrageously rare and fun comics! Someone should start a Digest Thread... These beauties could get overlooked in this Baker thread.
  3. Nice. It does like Rita. I think many artists on romance books probably worked from swipe files that included photos of stars of the day. She's got kind of a Diane Lane look...
  4. It is great seeing all the picks here. Some fantastic books and it is really fascinating seeing the reasoning behind the selections...
  5. Bob Overstreet Ernst Gerber Alan Light Founders of Comics.org Gary Groth
  6. And if you don't watch out, this terrifying giant Easter Bunny will take you away to where he took Paul and Pauline!
  7. Happy Easter, Eggheads! Happy Easter to all you comic book Eggheads!
  8. These are great! Some of these oddball 3-Ds are really tough to find!
  9. HA! You gents are always welcome to get in touch. Bedrock City will always have a special place in my heart. Going to the shop was like making a pilgrimage - the best comic store I'd ever seen! And Mr. B was foolish/crazy/kind enough to actually support my early efforts. He will always be in my pantheon of Comic Book Heroes! BTW, Joe College has some cracking Bob Powell artwork... And one of the weirdest looking D. Briefer characters you will ever see... comics.org says that "Boola Boola Jones" in both issues is by Frazetta, but I'm not seein' it...
  10. Please excuse these - too late for Gold, but here is another fun short run...
  11. To cool down, here are some watery covers...
  12. Another great cover! Comic book creators talk about a cover image capturing "A Moment." What a moment this is!
  13. This is such a great cover! Man and beast together, fleeing the ravaging forest fire!
  14. You are posting some amazing stuff! You should open a museum!!!
  15. Happy 13th! Thanks to all for sharing your great comics and thoughts!
  16. This isn't comic book art, but it's a cute Abner Dean comic strip about Spring! Hope Spring has sprung for ya'll!
