  1. One of my favorite 80s movies. "Two weeks!"
  2. If there are color breaks, shouldn't the notes specify them? I haven't gotten the mag back yet to inspect. I don't remember any color breaking creases.
  3. Towards the beginning of May I sent in two modern magazines to be pressed and graded. Mag #1 had some fairly significant cover ripples from water damage. Mag #2 had no such issues, but I felt would still benefit from a press (and why not, since it was being sent with mag 1). Just got the grades - mag #1 came back 9.4, which I'm delighted with. Mag #2 came back 7.0, with the following notes Grader Notes: crease left top of back cover crease right bottom of front cover spine stress lines Seems like the creases would be pressable defects? I feel like the mag was sent in as a 7.0, and is coming back same..

  6. Hey, I'm a newbie who sent in a couple modern magazines (actually just TMNT comics) for pressing and grading. They were received 22 working days ago, and have displayed "CCS in process" during that time. The turnaround time is listed as 15 working days for the press, so I'm just wondering if it's normal to exceed that estimate these days. Thanks!
  7. I bought that AF issue at my LCS when it came out and still have it, just checked to see if it had the survey.. nope. But thanks for the fun distraction
  8. Is the nine month turnaround time due to the "cleaning" phase of the restorations?
  9. Sorry, I should have mentioned that my submission has already been shipped and was delivered today. I had no issue in adding the additional service to my invoice. I never saw a service of “pressing with grading”, it was only one or the other. That’s why it made sense to me that when I finished my grading entries, I was given the option of adding additional services, (to what I thought were my existing entries). I guess I’ll just have to reach out directly to CGC. Thanks again.
  10. Recently I completed the form for my first CGC submission. I submitted 11 comics with grading as the primary service. After entering all 11, I chose “add additional service” to this order, as I also wanted two of the comics pressed before grading. After choosing add additional service, I was prompted to select the comic title from scratch again, just as I had done with grading. After completing and submitting my order, I noticed that my slip said I had submitted 13 comics instead of my actual 11. Did I not follow proper procedure? I saw no method for adding pressing to two books in my existing order other than the way I did it. But it seems the system now thinks I submitted two more comics than I actually did. Thanks for the help!
