    Well, I'm a big, fat liar! We got in fairly late last night, had to ship a bunch of stuff out, didn't get a chance to scan anything. My apologies. But tonight I have cleared the schedule, I'll have books for you all tomorrow AM by 9:00 EST, or else, uh, I'll eat this stack of Marvel Age! Thanks again, will update the thread with the sales made over the weekend momentarily.

    9.8's aren't perfect, but they also shouldn't have 5 to 6 color-breaking spine ticks. I've since sold that book (for less than I paid, probably because it was a fugly 9.8) or I'd post pics. As always, we must buy the book, not the grade. That book was just another reminder of the lesson.

    Could any of those be manufacturer defects, or do we know if other 9.8s of the same book share those defects? Personally, I have been surprised a couple of times by what passed on a 9.8. For example, a couple of years ago I was looking for a nice NM copy of Saga 6. I bought a couple of raw "NM+" copies off of eBay, and wasn't surprised to find that they had several spine dings when they arrived, because, you know, eBay. So I finally decided to just bite the bullet and get a CGC 9.8. When it arrived, it had several of the same white color breaking ticks on the spine, like at least 5 or 6 of them. So, at that point I wasn't sure if this was a common printing defect for the book, or if it was just a coincidence. I've since then seen 9.8's of the same book without any spine dings, so I'm not sure what to think.

    Huge Zenescope Distributor/Dealer Overstock Lot Hey all. Just a quick note about an auction I posted last night. It ends Wednesday night at 12:13 (ugh, I don't know what I was thinking posting it that late!) At any rate, it's 75+ Zenescope books, original retail cost of over $275. Average condition is VF with some stacking curls and occasional corner bends and spine dings from being stored unbagged in an overstock box. There is some duplication, usually only 2 copies, but there are 5 to 6 copies of a couple of titles. All Zenescope stuff, GFT's spinoffs, Wonderland, Robyn Hood, Annuals, Piper, etc. You get the idea. Let me know if you want an exact title list. Thanks! Zenescope Huge Comic Lot

    And, like Christmas, you spend all of your time getting ready for it, and just like that, it's over! That's all I've got for today folks, and in fact, that may be it for the week. I've got a recording session tonight, and then tomorrow I'll be heading out of town, as the Kentucky Derby and all of its attendant chaos descends upon my city. I must flee! At any rate, I'll be scanning more Sunday night, and will be back bright and early Monday morning with some more books. I've still got about a long box and a half, or thereabouts, to go. It's mostly stuff along these lines, although there are a lot more recent Image books in nice shape (Remender, Fraction, Hickman, stuff like that, new NM/NM+ books), some little sets, a big chunk of Angel virgin variants for some reason, a little more bad girl stuff like Shi and Warrior Nun, and just totally rando stuff. A few Marvels, some bulk books, etc. Who knows. I should be wrapping up next week, should it all go according to plan. (I also have huge chunks of Ultraverse and some Crossgen that I wasn't even going to bother bringing in here, but if there's any of that junk you're looking for, PM me, I may have it. No holograms or foils or anything cool, just...junk.) I've also got a poop-ton of 90's Image stuff that I may or may not get sorted before I end the thread. Stay tuned. Thanks as always!
