  1. Wow NO one will pay that surely?
  2. Exactly! It seems that people have already made their judgements, rightly or wrongly, about this movie before they have even seen it.
  3. Graded and nicely presenting I would say around $1.3 - 1.4k
  4. I really enjoyed that last trailer and looking forward to it's release in August.
  5. Best Presented Set! Thanks Mate
  6. Also I rarely let trailers stop me from seeing a film for the same reason Trailers will sometimes make me want to see a movie but rarely ever stop me from going.
  7. Personally I Love going to the cinema and time permitting go a lot... I will make sure to check this out regardless of reviews etc... In fact I rarely read reviews before seeing a movie as I much prefer to see the thing for myself and make my own mind up. I've seen plenty of films that I have loved that others haven't and received bad reviews and vice versa. There have been plenty of films that have been raved about that I ended up not liking so much.
  8. +1. At this stage, it would take the movie being the best superhero movie ever for some critics, sites, bloggers, keyboard warriors and CGC boardies to give it a break Not really. It's financial success is tied to some pretty standard numbers. If it does $30+MIL over it's budget, which after the reshoots and extra advertising has to be closer to $200MIL, and it gets a decent $350-$400MIL from the foreign box office, it would be considered a success. That'd be almost $600MIL worldwide, and would be seen as a financial success. How people might feel about the story in the movie itself is a completely different thing. Some aren't going to like it because it's a re-creation of one of the two greatest 100 issue runs in comics history. Some might not like it because it turns out bad, or formulaic or 'insurgent-like' or whatever. There'll always be mixed feelings there. But the financial success is pretty easy to tell. You obviously didn't read the post that I responded too. No, I very much read it, and I stand by what I said. Unless you believe there's some other way to gauge 'best superhero movie ever' other than by it's financial success. Anything else is just subjective. Agenda? What does that mean? I'm puzzled that you think my strong opinion's could bring down a juggernaut of a film production company like Fox Pictures, but I can assure you that regardless of what happens with this movie, it has nothing to do with what myself or anyone here thinks. It'll succeed or fail based upon what hundreds of thousands of people decide in the period of time it's playing at the local theater, not what some knuckleheads are wasting their time cussing and discussing on the CGC forum. I'm just pointing out what I think is a failure to produce a movie correctly based upon the way Superhero movies have been done correctly as of late. How many people are actually going to read this? Less than 100? I hardly think it'll make any difference in any way. And what, Bosco doesn't point out financial numbers? Half this thread is about what makes a movie financially successful. It may make you angry that people aren't happy about what is being done with this movie, but that isn't the fault of the people sharing those opinion's. They feel how they feel. You feel how you feel. Fox has made their decision's and now they're going to have to live with it. The only way to fairly judge if they were right is by the financial showing at the box office. It doesn't mean it's a 'good' movie or not. It just means the things we've been discussing up to this point "rewriting the concept - the type of trailers - the rumors" etc. turned people off to going or DIDN'T turn people off to going. The people who hate it just because it's NOT the classic FF are never going to UN-hate it. No sense in even debating that. Personally, I don't hate it for that, I just have less of a reason for wanting to see it. And everything they've done since then has made me want to see it even less. If it ever gets to a point that it DOES impress me, I'll take a chance and check it out. I prefer the classic FF, but I'm not 100% against the idea of doing a re-creation. OK

You obviously didn't read the post that I responded too. You seem to have an agenda, just like everyone else regards this movie, hence why you were so quick to point out the maths in its possibly financial failure (once again) even though that had nothing to do with Boscos and my posts.

  11. It absolutely is... I would love to have that book in my collection but with two 9.8's (1 signed) I am not even going to try and take a punt at that price... I would possibly consider it at a third of that price but even then I still would think seriously long and hard about it.
  12. Let's see, rewind to Spring 1977 ... Mark Hamil. Harrison Ford. Carrie Fisher. Yeah, crash-and-burn. Look, I'm not saying the new FF film will be a blockbuster, but the casting (unlike the 2007/2009 films) isn't going to be the issue on this incarnation. Let's see how good of a story we get and how Trank pulls it all together. Exactly!
  13. I'm with you on this one... I am really looking forward to seeing this movie and I certainly think it will be better than the so called internet critics would have us belief. In all honesty I have never seen such negativity about a film and most of it started before a single shot had been seen. It's almost like once people started being negative they couldn't stoop no matter what Fox through our way. Personally I like to wait till I see a movie before I judge This movie was suppose to be Chronicle 2,and was written for Michael B. Jordan to be the star. They turned it into a FF movie. There was no great vision about this being a FF MOVIE. It was just made so the rights wouldn`t revert back to Marvel. That`s why people haven`t been going ga-ga over it. Sounds like a second class way to treat an iconic franchise like Fantastic Four. And you know this to be fact? Can I get links to where the studio etc has said all this? Even if you're true, and you may well be, then you really should still wait till you've seen the movie to judge. Chronicle was great and you never know treating an iconic franchise that has struggled to find it's place in this modern Comic/TV world in this way may well be the best thing for it!
  14. I'm sure they would appreciate that. We can do it on a Thursday and the pool boy will come on friday... Let him clean that mess up I thought "pool boy" was your alter ego.
  15. Seriously though if you wanted me to do this then I defiantly would! The date is the 5th November and i'm coming to New York for Comic-Con so could even take them back with me

  17. Send them all to the UK i.e. to me in time for Guy Fawkes (bonfire) night and I will put them on a bonfire with a guy and film it along with the firweworks (thumbs u
  18. Shred the books and use them as packaging material for sending other books you may sell
  19. The tragedy is that Revival is far more entertaining than any of the like minded shows out right now. Yup
  20. Yeah, because the amount a book sells for is the most important thing right! bingo This book hasn't been a book worth speculating on in 12 to 18 months. Unless there is some kind of movie or TV news (never going to happen at this stage) then there is no need to post about sales. I honestly wish all the doomsayers/speculators just forget about Revival and leave the fans of the book, it's story and it's art too it so that we can just enjoy it. Sorry but i just know that every-time this Revival thread is bumped it's because someone got bored checked e-bay, saw their #1's are now worth less than they were before and then couldn't help themselves shouting about how the book is DEAD.

  22. 28 and 29 were amazing issue IMO... Looking forward to reading #30.
